Payment not authorized and all support recommendations exhausted

I've been trying to renew my subscription (although it should renew automatically but never does) and I'm getting a message saying that my payment is not authorized. I checked the support page and followed all of the recommendations but to no avail. This happens with both my debit and credit cards, even though both have sufficient funds available. I checked with my financial institution and they said there are no blocks and they haven't rejected any payments. I tried paying with a different browser that I've never used for this purpose before. Nothing helps. And I can't figure out how to open a ticket about this.

What should I do?

Have you tried via the support option at top right of this page?

If you have. you can tag a mod and maybe they can help @ZOS_Bill @ZOS_Kevin can you help?

There you are done it for you. <3

I must admit I've always used PayPal might be worth a try? :)

They meant the other right. (there are a series of links at the top left; 'Support' is one of them.)
(unless, maybe you are accessing the forum via your phone? I don't know what the mobile version of the site looks like.)

Have you tried Paypal? (Of course you need to have a Paypal account.)

When I switched banks a few years ago, my new bank didn't play well with the online payment service ZOS was using at the time, and my debit card kept getting declined when attempting purchases for ESO.
So I started using my Paypal account, which, ironically, used the same exact payment info, and that worked.

I don't use that bank anymore, but to avoid this type of headache, I always use Paypal for my ESO purchases now.

I couldn’t do anything with my psn account and my card. I’m not sure if my card got marked as fake or whatever… I know it works fine for everything else. Hopefully OP can access PayPal to fix this issue. Seems other people had to do that as well.

I did try Support, which is why I said i followed all the recommendations. The only thing I could access there was the posted articles. There was no option to open a ticket.

As for the bank, I'm using the same credit union I've used all along.

I did just try using Paypal and it almost seemed to work until I got a page saying "ERROR: SERVICE UNAVAILABLE
We're sorry, the account service isn't available at the moment. Please check your connection or try again later."

Reading that "Error: Service Unavailable" message again, I realized that it says I should check my connection. How would I be able to read that message if I didn't have a connection?

One other thing you could try: a preloaded credit card. You can usually find them at major big box stores (like Walmart and Smith's/Kroger groceries if you're in the US) - and at least in the state in which I live, I can always pay for a preload ViSA with my Costco VISA. Make sure you put enough on it for whatever period of renewal you're trying to do, and if that's accepted for this renewal, then make note of the date through which your renewal runs, which will give you some time to try to figure out what's going on with everyone.

And with that date available, even if you can't get the backend problem sorted, you can when the renewal data approaches buy another preloaded card.

Kind of a PITA workaround, but at least see if it helps.

Oh! I just discovered a receipt for the payment in my email and I checked and the subscription was renewed! So it did work, even if it did give me that weird error message.

Thanks to everyone for the Paypal suggestion!

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it's account related.

      Thank you for your understanding
