Character creation Regrets

Anyone else have character creation regrets from characters you made in the past.

I’m coming back into the game and working on rehearing my necro orc. But when I created him years ago I made him as muscular as possible.

I feel he now looks weird in almost any style and most hair styles now have clipping issues with armor and outfits because he’s so big.

The only way to change the look of a character after creation is in the a 1000 Crown - Appearance Change Token - in the Crown store.

Location in the Crown Store is >>> Upgrades : Service Tokens : Appearance Change

I too have come back to ESO after years and found that I disliked how I created most of my chars.
Fortunately, everything can be changed and I still had some tokens for no reason- so I edited what could be saved and deleted what couldn't be.

My mistake was also too many stereotypes and too few characteristic traits that make them interesting and original.

Depending on how much time I've put into a character, I may just delete and start over if I end up disliking the appearance enough. Just remember to bank any items/gold on that character before you delete it, if you choose to do so.

I've come to the conclusion that all things creative are best to be tested on PTS first.
Character creation, building houses (Bless EHT for their save and load feature), themed or situational builds.
I highly recommend it, helps avoiding to pay for an overpriced token.

Yes if you hate it after a few hours just delete and restart, if leveled up its another story.
Still has two free race change tokens from the race re-balancing with Elsweyr. Will probably use one for my arcanist, not that she is ugly just bland.

No because I just got appearance change tokens, now however that would be impossible without crown gifting.

I find myself less and less enamored of the high elf arcanist I created just to get to level ten. At the time I really liked her, and I was going for a punk rock aesthetic that I thought the high elf eyes complemented. It hasn't been that long and for some reason I just don't, anymore, though. So far I'm undecided whether to scrap her and start over since she's still low level, or spend one of the tokens I've been hoarding forever on a revamp.

Only thing I question about them is if I made a mistake making my main on the Aldmeri Dominion but I have got use to Grahtwood as a base of operations. He was originally Altmer but I changed him to Breton with the Any Race, Any Alliance. I think an AD Breton still fits with the lore though.

Yeah - I have several. Not regrets as such but just things I wish I'd paid more attention to when creating them. I was just in so much of a rush to get into the game lol.

I have 7 characters and I have changed the name on a few of them, but I wish I'd researched the different races / roles & classes a bit more. Because I didn't, most of my characters have the same skill set apart from 1 that I was able to change to a Nightblade.

As for appearance, I'm not really all that bothered about how they look or what they are wearing (yes I know it's a big part of the game, but it just doesn't interest me).

I know there are ways to change race / class / roles etc so I might have a look at that at some point.

Yeah.
Created a tiny NB wood elf theif for theives guild. All made sense.
But he then drifted into Werewolf cos my only stam toon I have levelled and now he's just confused.

Not sure if it's a regret, exactly, but when I first started playing, I had a bottom of the barrel laptop that needed the absolute lowest of the low settings, and I made 8 characters on that ancient potato. Some highlights:
My sorc did not have a tan, she had gold body tattoos
Both of my OG Argonians had subtle red patterns on their scales
My kahjiit was actually tricolored, not dark brown and white.
My warden had a purple lion, not a purple flower, tattooed on her chest
And, worst of the worst BY FAR, my templar looks like the worst Karen you have ever seen. Permanent scowl.
Logging in for the first time on my new computer was an EXPERIENCE.

A friend of mine gifted me a personality pack, just so I could fix my templar with the Cheerful personality

My magicka arcanist is ridiculously thin. There's no way his waist could support those shoulders.
His days are numbered.
