Should ZOS add a Starfield easter egg in celebration of the game launch?

Idk if it should just be small as text dialogue or something as significant as an astronaut costume from one of the factions, but I think it would be a neato way for we ESO players to celebrate a new sibliing series to Elder Scrolls in the Bethesda lineup.

Yeah, sure. Could be fun. Imagine a quest with a literal egg covered in stars in a room called the field of stars lol.

For the same reason they made the mudcrab of Eternal Doom. Something subtle like it would be fine.

Like Fall of the Space Core in Skyrim? (Valve was responsible for that silliness and it was a mod.) Whatever. I don't need that but can survive if it happens.

Oh, I guess it should be the group dungeon made in a form of space ship. Heroes think that small green people there are just strange adepts of Peryite, but eventualy meet a boss in a spacesuit and fly to the plane of new daedric prince - prince of interstellar travels. Woosh!

Also we need a daedric post-Molag-Bal world event. Game zones being turned to wastelands full of soulgem ore and soulshrivens. Players should craft their gear of rubbish and roast skeevers on a barrel. Time to time you have to check if the White Gold Tower is smaller than your finger to avoid being oneshot by huge daedric blast. Woosh!

More than that, we need a series of new arena weapon sets designed as plasmagun (staff), shotgun (bow) and chainsaw (two-handed). Well, BFG is possible, but it will be a crownstore outfit. We should fight with imps and cacodemons in this arena. Last boss obviously a Cyberdemon. I guess you already know what music should be played on the background. Woosh!

That's all the sibling series so it would be just great to have...

Then clearly you do not know the lore of the series.

    1. Tamriel is the continent, Nirn is the name of the world
    2. The stars are actually holes to Aetherius
    3. What you think are Planets are actually the bodies of Gods
    4. The Moons you see in the Sky are actually the halves of the body of Lorkhan

Blizzard is a corpse of it's former "product creators" being run by buisness men. Trying to squeeze out as much as they can before it becomes too obvious. That the passion of those greate creators are gone.

I don't think that's correct. the 3rd moon, the Dark Moon, which is being concealed by the movements of the moons Jone and Jode, is the body of Lorkhan. weren't Jone and Jode their own entities?

Apart from having the same publisher ESO and Starfield have nothing in common and that is how it should stay. Bethesda Game Studios ever get around to releasing TES VI, it would make more sense to have an easter egg for another Elder Scrolls game in ESO.

Why? Starfield is a single player Sci-Fi game made by Bethesda, ESO is a Fantasy MMO made by Zenimax.

Both companies are under the Zenimax umbrella and have been for years. It is splitting hairs to suggest they are unrelated companies.

I do not recall Zenimax Online Studios doing anything in ESO for the release of any other games within the Zenimax family of companies so I would not expect them to do anything here. I may be wrong and have just not noticed what they have done.

[snip] i never suggested anything that extreme, just something simple like a piece of dialogue or a crown store costume.

Only if it's something that fits with ESO. I'm generally a lot less bothered by 'immersion breaking' things than a lot of people but this is where I draw the line - stuff from other franchises (even ones by the same company) or direct references to real-life things would be too much. I know some games do it all the time, it seems like every time a new kid or teen movie comes out they have a tie-in event like they're McDonalds toys, and maybe for some of those games it makes sense, but it would put me off playing.

Having said that there are ways to do it well. For example the Adoring Fan from Oblivion is going to be in Starfield, but as I understand it they're an entirely seperate character, slightly re-designed to fit Starfield and with a new backstory, they just have a similar appearance and the same obsession with the player character. They picked something that could work and adapted it to fit the setting.

Maybe they could do that with Starfield. I have no idea what might work, I don't know enough about the game, but probably a similar thing with a character who has the same name and personality and similar appearance.
