Companions no longer automatically being resummoned

The new QoL feature was very welcome but as of the last day or so no longer seems to work for me when using my merchant. I spoke to a guildee who also has this problem. Anyone else having this issue?
Sorry edit to add that it also happens with a banker, not just the merchant.

madman65✭✭✭✭I noticed it`s hit and miss, i`ve pulled out the banker and the companion disappears then when I get rid of the banker it`s a 50/50.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭There was a bug where sometimes when the companion would automatically resummon, all their companion gear would be gone! Which is a serious enough bug that ZOS have disabled the functionality until they can resolve the issue.0 -
