PVE status in the first week after U39

VSE HM logs ranking for the first week after the U39 update:
(Since it has only been updated for a week, in order to avoid bias values (fake T, fake healer, support), the sample only takes records that reach 100K on eso logs.)

More than 100K classes (from low to high)
NB 0
Sorc 0
WD 0
Templar 1
Necromancer 3
DK 15
Arcanist 16

Total: 35

Of course, this is only the first week after the update of U39. Whether such a ranking will change in the future still depends on the performance of the players.
But obviously such a huge gap implies that the classes are unbalanced (in PVE), and even some classes cannot reach 100K in actual combat (although they may have good DPS on dummy, but BOSS is not a dummy, actual combat is different from simulation! )

I hope that developers can pay more attention to the data based on the actual combat environment, rather than just obtaining data based on dummies.
The ultimate goal of PVE players is to challenge trials, so actual combat data is more important to PVE players.

I don’t think it’s even necessarily that the other classes can’t reach those numbers in content. Pretty much all of them can in the hands of a good player, but the classes all bring different things to the equation and sorcs/nightblades/templars have been on the crappy end of that argument for a while now. DKs have been there forever and arcanist is cracked rn.

They need to seriously look at the kits for Templar and sorcerer.

Yeah it's not really a case of unbalanced classes but more-so an unbalanced skill floor for each class. Nightblades and Sorcerers are actually doing a lot better now than before this patch but you can get roughly the same DPS with much less effort playing any other class, and the general consensus has always been "work smarter, not harder" when it comes to clearing end-game content. An unfortunate side effect of trying to have every class differentiate from each other in a meaningful way.

It's not unbalanced classes, it's an unbalanced number of players playing certain classes. Yes some classes could use some buffs. But DK has always been topping the charts due to its high DPS and popularity, and Arcanist will do so for a while as well since it's new and easy to play.
