ZOS, PLEASE FIX THE SOCIAL PART OF THE GAME!! ITS ALL BUT DEPRESSING AND LONLEY NOW...
This game took a turn down the [snip] when text chat came out but managed to maintain the social aspect thru it (( tho is became more toxic because people will say anything behind the saftey of a keyboard)) But now that you have left our in game chat broke for so long only people who talk are small clicks.... thats it..... games like this are few and far between and the social part of it with the massive community is one of the things that brings mas amounts of people looking for human interaction, conversation, friends etc.
Ive met soooo many elderly people whos grandchildren have bought them the Xbox and game, veterans, disabled people, single parents etc, all types of people who most have the need for socialization and/or human interaction/communication. The chat not working has made it so no one meets new people randomly anymore, guilds no longer function as a whole like they used too by working together in almost everything and mental health is not good...
IK money is needed to help the game grow etc BUT so are players.... [snip] Even if it was fixed now, u less the game makes it VERY VERY VERY 100% FIXED and KNOWN by everyone that its fixed i doubt that part will ever recover. Most continue to look for a new game to go to with large online communities.... im a day 1 player, and ive had my grievances with ZOS and its employees mainly the lack of wanting to do anything above and beyond to achieve the goal/request... [snip] im sorry i dont mean for this to be ignorant or rude but when i feel so strongly about something and i see these things happening... i can only sit by and watch so long.... if all players spoke up in a respectful manner im sure the picture of the games future would paint out very very VERY diffrently then the dev's view it.

✭Submit a ticket to customer support about your issue.
In my opinion lots of the stuff in your original post is personal and it should be discussed privately between you and a customer support representative. They can help you out better there than on the forums.

✭✭See i dont have this issue. My guilds are very social. That said i am in progs and part of a core team. We know each other pretty well since we spend a lot of time together. Maybe that isnt the norm..1 -

On PC-EU I say zone is spammed with guilds invites and WTS, exception is new zones and during events.
Rarely something weird, but you can get rants.Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.3 -
Androrix✭✭✭✭I used to enjoy following zone chat but these days it seems bombarded by people advertising to sell gold and crowns on some offline site. I guess it is a bit like the bots harvesting materials on consoles. I think the best bet for people as suggested above is guild chat.2

You can't force people to use chat. And if trolls break the rules, report and move on.
If you want to meet more people to pal around with, guilds are a great place to do it. If you meet someone in a random group event, do be afraid to add them to your friend list.3 -

The only thing you'll get in this thread are people posting third party solutions, or a reminder from Kevin to submit a support ticket. If the support ticket bears no fruit, then a topic like this is warranted.3 -

Then again, the first post is horribly jumbled and I'm not clear whether it's just about the failure of ZOS to fix a broken voice chat, guilds not functioning properly, a falling community, or something else - or whether they're all supposed to be linked. The only clear thing I do detect from that post is that the OP has long held some sort of grievance against ZOS and its employees. Quite why, however, I've no idea.
Also, when the OP states that ZOS have refused to fix the voice chat, is it really a case of them refusing to do so, or simply failing to do so? There's a significant difference.3 -

I mean I have no idea, I'm on PC, but it's not like this a common complaint that's being posted about all the time.
Then again, it's fairly unclear from the OP what the actual problem is - that part seems to have been left out and it would probably be helpful to know. Is there an actual bug being reported... like does voice chat not function at all? For anyone? How would "small cliques" be talking then? - Or is this a complaint that people have become more toxic in chat or they aren't participating in it or something? Just like, spell the actual problem out for us please.
If there is a bug, has OP tried putting in a support ticket? If so, another thing that might be helpful is posting the support ticket number for the forum mods and asking for some help, so that they can check what's going on with it (they often do this for people who aren't satisfied with the response they're getting from support).

people have been submitting tickets and everything... its been almost 2 years its been broke

Chat dosnt work for majority of people and most dont know they just have to relog or reloadui. It was broke 2 years on Xbox and over those 2 years bairley anyone uses it.... that includes social guilds which use.... text chat, or click groups in party chat

me and many others have posted in the proper sections about it, sent in tickets and it was ignored for years, they would say "they fixed it" but it wasnt, and even now you have to relog, reloadui or in some cases it just dosnt work at all. My main reason for posting general is its the main chat, most would see it and maybe more devs would be REMINDED of it idk... the games suffering beacuse of it IMO,

its been issues for years. small clicks join party chat, Xbox has in game voice chat ...or DID untill it broke and they have ignored fixing it for over 2 years. Its been mass reported but when players report something for months to years they eventually give up... so very few still say anything. Chat only MAYBE works if you relog character , reloadui or close out game and re start. It was a post of frustration and disappointment and yet again another reminder to them ITS BROKE, PLEASE FIX IT.... but they probably wont

✭✭A lot if us have given up, we tried, we reported, nothing has been done.
Used to be you'd pop into guild audio chat and it would be going off, meet new people, create community. Then it died, then zos reduced group size to 12, and socialising became a lot less casual and easy, you had to group to talk, but unless you knew people you'd be unlikely to just join any group.
The voice chat was the tavern, and the tavern shut down.
I'd say these two things, plus AwA and update 35, really hurt the game. There's a clear difference in the game experience now compared to before those four things.Pact Magplar - Max CP (NA XB)3
