Dual Wielding increases your base weapon damage because of the off hand passive, and Daggers give you Crit. A Bow though will give you overall less Weapon damage, so I'm sure people view it suboptimal.

I mean, my pvp warden ranger is bound pretty much by her mag usage since almost all of her buffs, debuffs, and heals are mag-based. The only thing that uses stam are her three bow skills. Does that count? Same goes for the same build but on a sorc.

wait until monday, bows are getting buffed and will be the top ranged weapon for dps (even for magicka builds).

Though my OakenBow Warden is spec'd for stam, three of her five skills are mag (Budding Seeds, Deep Fissure, Soul Splitting Trap). Her stam skills are Growing Swarm and Silver Shards. Heavy attack (with Empower) is a great opening shot.

She never has to worry about running out of mag or stam by splitting her skill fuels. The heal is mostly to keep her companion tank (and any nearby allies) healthy. She's a PvE mostly solo build with good damage, sustain and survivability.

Silver Shards is her spammable and being spec'd to stam is probably better for fueling that. If she used Screaming Cliff Racer (mag) as her spammable, being spec'd to mag would probably work great.
