High level losing power when grouped with low level players.

Why does this happen. Im not in a guild so I pug a lot and as a player in the CP1900's Im always grouped with lower levels. I notice a drastic power drop if the tank is really lower lvl then me. How can i correct this outside of having to join a guild or am i stucked & faq'd?

Is the difference that some tanks provide group buffs and some do not?

    Like a DPS drop?

In my experience, the biggest reason for my DPS dropping off a cliff during PUGs is if the boss isn't taunted, so it's constantly running out of my ground-based AOEs and I have to recast them. Or if I'm face-tanking the boss in which case I have to stay alive.

As far as I'm aware, you don't lose power. Like kargen said, it's probably a lack of buffs by bad support builds.

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it's asking the community for assistance.

    Thank you for your understanding

Then you're not receiving group buffs you normally would if you had higher level teammates and such, that's all there is to it. or your group isn't applying vulnerability/other debuffs leading to a massive DPS drop vs when you have more experienced teammates that are higher level

Ohhh, yeah. Major vulnerability would be a big one. When TT came out I had multiple pug groups exclaim that they’ve never seen their damage so high before. With major vuln being a must-have buff now, not having it is probably pretty obvious.

totally agree with this. I remember when I used to try to tank would would be popin off what i could to. support the group. I guess its something you have to learn.
