Can I rent my characters out as bot mercenaries/companions when I'm offline?

I hate having to wait ages to queue for a dungeon. Easier to just get someone else's character to help me much like the companion system in exchange for a portion of the loot

Just spam zones that you looking for group to get in random, way faster that way, especially if you in a pledge zone,or craglorn. Can also join guilds and ppl ususally willing to group and make quick queue.

I'm not entirely certain what you mean in the title, but do be aware that sharing your login information (account and password) can get you permanently banned from the game, not to mention the danger of having someone hijack your account.
I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!

This is actually an interesting concept. Similar to Skyrim, where there are mercenaries in taverns, it could be neat to have randomly generated player characters, as in randomly picked from the pool of characters that are offline, to be wandering around the world. Some in taverns or banks, some walking the roads or injured by the side of a dungeon, and if you help them or pay them, they'll become a temporary companion a la the companion system, except they only last until you log out or dismiss them, or someone logs onto that character at which point the NPC says that they have other things they have to attend to and walk off. I think it would be neat. It'd never happen, but it would be cool.

I think the original guild wars had that, which is why I asked

“Botting” is one of the things expressly forbidden in ZOS ToS, so I think the answer is very obviously “No”.

Macros are probably one of the hardest things for them to combat. I'm sure macro users have a bagful of tricks they use to spoof the detection software. To be fair I don't know that macros are very reliable with how inconsistent Cyrodiil performance is, at least according to the "experts" that comment every time someone complains about macros.
