Reaching soft cap with light armor?

So, I was wondering...
As a sorcerer wearing light armor only, I am currently around armor cap (around 1190 at lv34) when using the "bound armor" skill from the Daedric summoning skill line. That being said, I do not like the permanent armor skin that hides your armor and the fact that it takes one of my (only) five skills slot. I understand that sacrifices have to be made sometimes but before that, I figured I'd ask here:

End game, is it possible to reach near-armor soft cap using light armor only as I am not ready to give up spell cost reduction nor penetration (like using light / heavy hybrid). I know there are several ways to raise your armor rating:

- Trait on gear that raises armor (probably not much difference)
- Mundus stone + Divine trait
- Jewelry (ring / necklace) with increase armor rating
- using one handed and shield

I use healing staff mostly so 1h is not an option atm (can't heal myself otherwise) but right now, if I were to use say two rings giving armor and no "bound armor" skill, I'd be around armor cap too. Just how high can you raise armor with a ring/necklace? Anyone knows how much armor the mundus stone adds?

I'm overcharged in magicka, magicka regen, spell resist so having high armor is nice and makes me less squishy. Any answers appreciated!

I find it ridiculous that you can even get close to the soft-cap wearing light armour at all. What's the point in having heavy armour then?

As to your question, I guess just using armour glyphs and like you mention Mundus stone, should be good.
Who has time? But if we never take time how can we ever have time?

I think some people have mentioned that armor caps depend on both your class and level too. Say, a lv34 Dragonknight would apparently have a higher armor soft cap than a sorcerer at the same level for instance. their armor rating would probably be the same if wearing the same armor without passive skills but the cap would be different apparently. I wasn't able to test this myself but I'd think some classes are better at doing things than others, which goes a little against what ZOS said but I understand you can't have everything you want.

Well to me it makes sense that the soft caps for armour should be different otherwise armour type is pointless, more over people shouldn't be able to sneak as well in heavy armour.

    Just my two cents.
