I have gobs of gold mats. I don't give them away for any reason. I also don't sell them If you need gold mats, there are many ways to obtain them - easiest being go harvest them.

Is this really the state the game is in?

I asked for 2 rosin...or 8k gold....and was met with silence....I had the gold to buy the mats

If you had the gold to buy the matts why not just buy the matts?

Your anger over the things mentioned in your post are slightly worrying. Do you have any fun people to play the game with? Ingame friends or guildies?

It's not difficult to make gold in this game, if you know what to do. I could post some tips if you want (farming the current event is one!), but honestly you might need a break from the game. I hope you will think about putting ESO away for at least a little while to either focus on games that leave you less stressed or some reallife activities. I don't know where you live, but over here it's the Summer Holiday and there's some nice weather incoming, which are very good for walks, picknicks and swims. :)

Honestly, I don't see why giving someone 2 legendary temps is such a big deal. I mean, it isn't like they asked for 20, or 200-- just 2. You'll probably get it back eventually from your daily login rewards, or even sooner by refining mats, or from Tales of Tribute rewards. And the player receiving the temps can pay the favor forward for someone else.

May I please have 2 Chromium Platings? It’s not such a big deal after all. I mean, it isn’t like I asked for 20, or 200,— just 2. I’m sure you’ll get it back eventually. I promise to pay it forward.

    Thank you very much.

It's a big deal to me because it sets a precedent that players can ask for anything, no matter the worth, and they are entitled to receive it.

Higher level players should be able to farm/buy anything they need.Gold quality anything not needed in most PVE situations.Gold weapons for vet dungeons/trials and PVP is needed, but other gear golded is more if you got extra mats and wanna squeeze that last .1% outta it.Also evenryone gets wary of scammers, how do we know you not getting 2 here,2 there, and amassing large amounts for resale? There's plenty that will help newer players,or people getting into new parts of the game, but asking for high priced stuff free or cheap gets sus.

I'm not sure the issue is so much that the OP asked for two rosin, but that they then decided to come on here and complain that no one sent them the mats, and then to... well to be honest it's kind of hard to follow... but extrapolate all of these other issues with the game to somehow be related to the unhelpfulness of these other players who are ruining the game? At least that's how I read it.

It's fine (albeit at risk of seeming spammy and scammy to some) to *ask* for free stuff, but the answer is often going to be no (especially, the bigger the ask), and one has to live with that. No one is entitled to others' time or gold. Period.

I'm happy to help out guildies and newer players to some extent, but gold upgrade mats is a way bigger ask than crafting some training or research gear; sending over some basic mats for daily writs; helping with a wb, CoD'ing some pots to someone who's stuck in a trial and can't craft... etc. And when the request is coming from an established player, randomly in zone chat, it's even more sus. Personally, I block zone chat by default because I don't like all the spam, so I wouldn't even have seen the request - it's not necessarily malicious that no one is responding.

At some point it's on a player to actually play the game and put in the effort, and not on others to solve their problems for them. I am not playing this game to farm mats for other people who don't want to.

And as I suggested earlier, if someone is having *this many* issues with the game, the problem goes far beyond two rosin. Time for a break. One should never let a game stress them out to the extent seen in OP's posts.

I read it as he asked for 2 rosins, or asked for 8k gold (so he could then buy 2 rosins).

Is this really the state the game is in? I had the gold to buy the mats, I didn't have the space for the mats.

If you didn't buy the mats because you didn't have the space for them how would you have been able to receive them if someone gave them to you?

Take this as constructive criticism (albeit delivered rather bluntly so the message isn't lost in cushioning): if OP behaves the same way in game chat as he's been doing on the forums, I totally understand why no one would want to help him. This would be a great time to sit back and reflect on your actions. To ask yourself, "Is it really only the kids who are wrong, or should I be the one making some changes with myself first?"

I read it that he asked for 2 rosins, which would be the equivalent of 8k gold, which he had and may have been intending to send in return. Note, I have no idea what 2 rosins go for at the guild traders, although I'm pretty sure it's way overpriced just like everything else at the guild traders.

Rosin goes for about 4k on NA and less than 2k on EU. I understand that OP bought 6 Rosin but needed 2 more, then unsuccessfully begged in chat for those.

It's good to see helpful players here who offered to gift them the Rosin, but it's also sad that this kind of behavior and incoherent ranting ultimately gets rewarded...

    Thank you very much.

The absolute lowest-priced TTC listing for Rosin on PC NA right now is 2,666.67 gold per Rosin-- and even though it likely isn't even available anymore, we'll go with that price.

The absolute lowest-priced TTC listing for Chromium Plating on PC NA right now is 46,100 gold per Chromium Plating-- which almost certainly isn't available anymore, but we'll go with that price because it's the lowest.

    46,100 / 2,666.67 = 17.2874783907

So I'm wondering if everyone who heaped scorn upon the OP for asking for 2 Rosins will heap 17 times as much scorn upon you for asking for the equivalent of 34 Rosins?

No? Yeah, I didn't think they would.

I usually help out new players when they ask for cheap materials, but i rarely give away gold materials for example.

We sometimes see people in chat asking for free stuff, just to sell it directly afterwards.

And if you call them out, you need to be careful not to get punished for it, since they can just write a ticket to your name and claim you insulted them or falsly accused them. So i prefer to ignore them, after i got a 48h ban the last time i warned others about the begging reseller dude.

what the op needs to realize is that there are actually a ton of helpful people in this community -- but -- a lot of those people have been taken advantage of by people asking for free stuff in zone chat.

especially if you are a day one player --- you have had almost a decade of some random somewhere asking for tempers or money for a horse, etc.

everything is easy to get in this game so you shouldnt need to ask people in zone for free stuff -- you could have earned the 8k needed in less time than it took you to come here and post about it.

2 Rosin is like 4k gold, I belive anyone can afford it.
The emails from guild store purchases are currently instant so..

    You asked Me to:
    1. go to my inventory
    2. switch to craftbag
    3. select woodworking, select rosin,
    4. type 2 pieces to withdraw,
    5. then check your nickname
    6. open email
    7. adress the email with your nickname (propably forgot already so check again ;)
    8. attach 2 rosin
    9. send email
    10. write in chat "hey man its sent" so that others know its done

so that You wouldn't have to:
1 go to a guild trader spot
    2. interact with guild trader
    3. type rosin to search for
    4. press search
    5. buy rosin
    6. open email
    7. take the attached rosin to inv

I play in my free time, you asked me to do more work than it cost you to obtain those 2 pieces and still complaint that I didnt do it.

Also this is just a hypothetical example, because I wasnt there.

What exactly was the argument here? The fact you want people to sell or give away their gold mats when you could have just gone to another guild store to buy some (which is super cheap atm anyway), or the way Zos balanced Redguard? I don't understand what any of that had to do with not being able to get 2 rosin out of convenience.

I am glad you asked, if redguard was competitive and not lackluster, I would not have to change my build and not ever have to ask for 2 rosin. Problems occur when a series of events line up. It's usually never one thing.
