Hey, i just want to know something, someone on reddit recommended i should have a second account for another 150 listing space. On my main all 150 is full, i was thinking of installing my EGS copy on my second hard drive, while the primary is on my SSD.
Is it allowed to have a second for listing items on for sale and all sale profits o be sent to the main? if it makes sense

Lots of us do have second accounts, and sometimes more. I pay for ESO+ on 2 and have 2 basic.

Yeah, you don't even need to have 2 copies installed, just a symlink to your already installed copy would suffice.

Yep. I run 3 accounts off the same original install.

Installing twice is completely unnecessary, both can use the same game files. Install the launcher from EGS but then don't install the game itself, just close it. Then create a link from the already installed game's folder to the folder that you installed the launcher through EGS. Hit the windows key then type cmd. In my case the command I used was

mklink /D "I:\Epic Games\TheElderScrollsOnline\The Elder Scrolls Online" "H:\The Elder Scrolls Online"

The paths have to be changed to yours, 1st is where the launcher through EGS got installed, and the 2nd where the already installed game is at. Important that the "The Elder Scrolls Online" folder where the game files are actually stored has to be linked. If the folder "The Elder Scrolls Online" exist--it shouldn't if you didn't hit the install button--within the EGS install then remove it or you won't be able to make the link.

When done, just start the game from EGS and if you did everything right then the "Install" button should appear to be as "Play" button.

I have 10 mule accounts in addition to my main account. Created 5 guilds for my own use in order to categorize excess loot I try to sell in my main account (one guild for PVP items, another for motif styles and so on).

Make sure that your ESO--actually the launcher only--installed from EGS has no "The Elder Scrolls Online" folder and looks like this:

After the command ran successfully, it should look like this:

I had heard they were going to be stopping this.... pple making accounts using the free weekend would be made inactive if they didn't afterwards purchase the game to run them.
Possibly a rumor but I could totally see them doing this to encourage people to buy the game to continue using the accounts. Might want to be careful what you store on those though.

I currently have 12 accounts.. 3 are Plus the rest basic.

All run off purchased games, I just wait till the base game is on sale for less than $10.

I don't run ANY accounts made during the 'free' weekends because I believe in time those will not be allowed any more unless the actual game is purchased to keep them alive, isn't worth the risk. Happy to pay less than $10 for a base copy.

These have been acquired over years since the game started.. a couple were gifts that came with gift sets like the Molag Bal statue, when the game went free to play I figured why not activate them? Craft bag wasn't available back then, many players that crafted a lot had extra accounts for storage.

Now I have them to have my own private guilds for the guild banks and such... plus those accounts (many with only one or two toons on them) do daily crafting writs, feeding my main accounts with mats for the guild stores. It works amazing but it takes a long time to build them all up to those levels. Writs don't take long with a couple of addons. I call them the "poor sister accounts' because they do a lot of work but rarely get anything nice lol.

None of my accounts were bought through Steam though I did link my original one to Steam waaay back in the dark ages. But Steam went through a lot of times with issues where the game wouldn't start through there so I began starting it from desktop - I don't even think that is an option any longer for Steam accounts, but old original accounts can still do it... or maybe it's because the game wasn't bought through Steam, only linked to it. Anyway, I haven't logged in through Steam in many years now. From desktop I can log into any of my accounts with no issues.

I wouldn't think you'd need another install but your extra accounts would need to have an exec other than through Steam - one on your desktop, if it is doable.

Not really. It would certainly cut down on all the bot accounts that get made during those free weekends.
Free weekends are meant as a trial for the game, with the intent that people will purchase the game after giving it a go. Why do you think it would be a lousy move on their part? It's a business, they are in it to make money. I see no issue with doing this, it makes total sense to me for them to say that the free account created will be locked after the freebie go is over, but can always be unlocked again with a game purchase.
Don't forget, ZoS is now Microsoft lol. It totally makes sense.

While you do have to purchase a separate license to use with each account, you do not have to do any weird hijinks (unless Steam is actually worse than I thought) to play the alt accounts.
(i.e., you only have to install the game once.)

You should be able to play all of your accounts from your original install, as long as you've purchased a license for each account. Then all you have to do is start the game as you do with your main account, then log-in with your alt account, instead.

There's two types of free accounts, both work for setting up guild banks.

Ones created during a free weekend event - like the Quakecon one currently running - cannot log in after the event is over unless they buy a copy of the game. (I think that's what people are referring to when they say you "lose access" to it.) But the accounts still exist in the game and if they're in a guild they still count towards the requirements for getting a guild bank.

So if you create one of them you can't use the account itself because you won't be able to log into it outside of free weekends (which I think happen about once or twice a year), any items or gold on that account will be inaccessible until the next free weekend and you won't be able to get login rewards or anything like that, but if you create a guild and invite them to it during the free weekend they'll still count towards the membership requirement to unlock the guild bank after the event is over, so your main account(s) can use it as extra storage space.

Ones created during the Epic Games giveaway and other promotions where copies of the game are given away are exactly the same as paid accounts. (They are paid accounts, it's just the company doing the promotion paid for them, not the player.) You can continue to log into them after the give-away is over so you can send items to them to hold and retrieve them whenever you want by logging into that account and sending them back. They will also count towards guild membership for unlocking a guild bank, and will be able to use the bank like any other member can.

The 'catch' with the second type of free account is they're much harder to get hold of. It's rarer for copies of the game to be given away free and as far as I know the Epic Games promotion is the first time it hasn't been a limited number given away as prizes in a contest. So it's probably not practical to rely on that if you want enough for a private guild bank, but if you've got one (or more) you can use it.

You can have as many accounts as you like - you can't play them at the same time and you can't use any mechanism to link them (i.e. botting).

      I myself have....er..... a lot of accounts ;)

Very useful for storage and guild trader listings and all sorts, and you can often get them very cheaply (sometimes even free) during events.

      Hope that helps!

As you said, botting is when you play with them at the same time and that can only be done using a software. I have seem multiple characters doing the same moves and attacks at the same time.

There's a symlinkcreator (goodle search it) program that makes it easier to make links with GUI.You also have to remember to use admin mode for that or the commandline. Also Epic games is in Program Files, without the x86 so should be
