Bard class concept... Unfinished.
this is my concept for bard class in eso
(currently unfinished/unbalanced)
probably would work better as a guild skill line but yeah the more options the better...
most or all the skills are meant to have simple animations like the ones already in game but will also use characters voicelines whenever some are cast (laughing, yelling etc..) So you wouldnt be singing poems, playing instruments (save for maybe war horn), or doing anything that would require an absurd cast time.. As a master of the bard arts you can cast simple but effective spells that " dont require fancy wording" with a shout or guffaw and a wave of the paw. (or hand) the more magical effects would be mostly similar to Vampires mesmerize in visual style if that makes sense..
Sing
skills
noise blast: shoot a blast that does magic damage
noise explosion: your noisemaking power deals physical damage instead of magic
heated blast: deals flame damage and can applies damage over time (less direct damage)
shout: [conal] hits enemies and does physical damage
roar: becomes an aoe but deals significantly less damage
whisper of death: deals much more damage but can only stuns from flank [magical damage]
distraction: yell at an enemy reduce their resistances
confuse: also reduces the enemies damage output
enrage: taunts enemy only
Bards talent: your knowledge of scrolls has taught you the very iconic firebolt spell. (direct damage)
Fireball: spell damages enemies around initial target (full damage)(direct damage)
scroll of flame: conjure up a ring of flame do deal direct damage to enemies in close proximity every so often for a short time
charming laugh: charms enemies.. (follows same rules as fear and stuns) uses pretty much same animation as mesmerize vamp skill..
guffaw: also applies major maim to enemies hit
shed tears: applies major breach to enemies within range
ultimate
unyielding voice: shout to deal heavy damage to enemies
Cry o flame: shout to deal heavy flame damage to an area in front of you and aplly damage over time thereafter.
death howl: 500 cost fears and reduces enemies health by half for 15 seconds ( increases damage done to bosses and some other pve enemies by 20% at least)
passives
dissimilar strength: increased recoveries
morale: increases damage to enemies below 50% by 10%
Cunning: crit rate up
lasting impression: increase your damage by 5% to enemies you have a status effect applied to
Dance
skills
conceal: make yourself invisible to the enemy for 3
disappear: can be cast while immobilized stunned at three times cost to purge all snares and immobilizations
defensive posture: add minor resistance to you and nearby allies ( balance effects but more purple-ey)
defensive stance: adds a shield to yourself at all times while slotted. (5000 value no scaling) when damaged, the shield will regenerate slowly at a steady interval at the rate of your stamina recovery..
fearless attitude: increases your damage done by a small amount when you take damage [stacking effect]
funny footing: reduces damage from area attacks..
unnerving stride: also applies lifesteal for the duration
feint: increased the damage of your next light attack
power of song: (uses the balance skills effect) power of song powers your allies(and yourself) weapons with damage
Empowering song: also grants empower for a short time
power of dance: also increases your own movement speed
ode to magick: increases magick recovery for 20 seconds (stam cost)
ode to fitness: increases stamina recovery for 20 seconds (stam cost)
ode to vigor: Increases heath recovery for 20 seconds (stam cost)
Ultimate: (low cost) (duration of idk maybe 10 seconds or so)
swift cadence: increase movement speed of yourself and allies..
War tempo: also grants major berserk for the duration
Velocity: grants all effected immunity to snares and ims for duration
Passive
Bag of tricks: when you heal yourself with a class ability you gain minor armor for 2 seconds.
focus: you get x armor but it reduces by x amount for each active class buff..
knowledge: reduces cost of your magic costing class abilities
soothe
lingering musician: leave behind a magical copy of yourself that slows and attacks enemies in a large area by a small amount for a time (slow range akin to that of blood altar)
trance: charms an enemy within its aura every 2 seconds
minstrel: copy heals instead of doing damage
scholarly tribute:cast a permanent damage shield on allies that expires once broken but costs 80% Scales with max stat and healing power and is capped at 10k value (may need balance changes)
steady tribute: speeds up the cast time
positive acclamation: reduces the cost to 30% but shield caps at 5k
Bardic inspirtation: drinking from your flask heals you [stamina cost]
spirit: dealing damage to and enemy with heavy attacks will boost your moral and heal yourself and nearby allies for a small amount.. [stamina]
clever concoction: purges negative effects and heals you [stamina]
