Will be home in 2-3 hours, depends on traffic, can we login fine now or wait for 5-10 seconds queue for hours on end.

seems fine to me currently (PC EU). didn't have a queue to log in this time and no crashes yet (fingers crossed).

the game (US servers) seemed stable to me without a login queue. it was speculated on reddit that there was attacks on the servers. no official word from ZOS.

I got in (without a queue) and played fine for about 30 minutes an hour ago, and I'm about to [try to] log in again.

But I had the same experience around this time yesterday (early morning for me); able to log-in without a queue and play for four hours ('til just after 7am).
I didn't start having issues yesterday until after 7:30am EDT, and just gave up trying to even get logged-in around 2pm, after several attempts throughout the day met with increasingly long queues each time.

Not sure what to expect today.

I doubt it's fixed. The issues occur during prime time gaming periods, which it currently isn't, so you can expect them to reappear later on in the day. This was the same pattern as over the weekend where you could get on without a queue early in the morning but things got steadily worse the more we moved into prime time and the more people wanted to play.

Expect the issues to show up again later this afternoon/evening when everyone comes back from work.

It was fine for me earlier, but the problem is at least partially due to the sheer number of people trying to log in, so it mainly happens during prime time.

Luckily(?) for me I currently can't play during EU prime time (and I'm on the EU server) so it hasn't been too bad. I think until ZOS gets an actual fix sorted out one solution for those who can is to log in during off-peak times and avoid prime time. But I don't get much choice in when I can log in, other than choosing to skip days entirely and do something else instead, so I'm just hoping that when I'm back to having free time in the evenings it will be fixed.

It's fine, no Q due to low traffic. We shall see the evening ddos wave...

I highly suspect they are actually ddos'ing themselves with flood protection turned off as it is from a 'trusted' source, but I doubt they will admit they screwed up authentication through a 3rd party.

I guess we will see if they have sorted this by tonight. Must be nice to have zero coverage at weekends.

      It is rather janitor fault.

Firstly, it is his duty to feed server hamsters every evening after cleaning the office.
Secondly, he would've put the office key under the doormat as usual. He took it home instead.
That's why emergency team couldn't get to the office and fix empty pet-bowls after the issue has been detected.

Next time we'll check the idea about hamster riot. We can't ignore this version.

There has been a lack of server resources for 4-5 years now. We really see it when they schedule multiple events at the same time, but PvP has been being scaled back for 4-5 years now for this reason.

Worked fine the first time I logged in. Did the event, logged out and tried to log back in waiting about 15 seconds between each attempt 3-4 times and no luck. These two popups kept showing.

After logging out and trying to log back in (didn't close out of the game):

Guess I'll have to wait until later 🤷 :D

Absolutely. For context, yesterday (7/31), the first time I saw the login que was during the afternoon hours on PC/NA

I didn't even bother during the evening "prime" hours so I cannot attest there, but the issues yesterday I had experienced were definitely outside of that scope. Today, I have not seen any login ques thus far, so that is a good thing. Hopefully the login errors settle as well.

No queue today, had a weird hiccup moment on one character while running for a treasure map in Murkmire where she dismounted and was bonked back down the road. That's about it.

I'm doing everything I want to do now that I'm logged in, in case there are issues later.

please explain how the queueing issue/crashes began at the begining of the week, before the event/free trial, and was just as present in and out of prime time on both servers and got steadily worse regardless of player numbers.

oh sure, the problem wasn't helped by larger numbers due to the event/free trial, even tho the servers are new with a much larger capacity, but it was without doubt not the root cause.

If it was then there wouldn't have been any need for a fix, and we'd still be seeing the queues and crashes :)

This game is so broke. Kicked out of PC EU 3 times this morning. PC NA can't stay connected for longer than 10 minutes. Mail not coming through, trade posts slow to update.....

Login queues is because of many players trying to log in. Login has limits like the dungeon finder so they limit how many can be in the login process, rater than people getting kicked from login and trying again and again.
However I don't get this to explain the hour long queue so I think its an global cap on players on a megaserver.
Not sure why, it might be database limits.

But I'm sure the reason is the free accounts + event + free eso+.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
