Whats Up with all these skirts

I am not sure why the majority of motifs that show off any skin sport skirt style bottoms. Can we get motifs that are knee length shorts style and short boots. You guys offer so many cool tatts and skins but no way to show them off. Personally im not a fan of the " costume system" I prefer learning the motifs and just building them out. Im not sure if there are costumes that show off the Tatts and skins best but its just odd that I have to have all my characters in skirts or having banners hanging from my waist when I would just like some basic outfit choices to show off my skins and tatts. Its not like the styles add any benefit to the armor.

Female characters: "Ya,y we get to go into battle in dresses, skirts, skimpy tops.!"

Male characters: "Ummm where's mah tank tops, shorts, and Doc Martins?"

Note: not sarcasm, kilts may be fine, yet we've already broke with the reality of battle gear so why not shorts etc.

There are some shorts but there is a clear lack of shorts compared to skirts and pants now so I agree we need more shorts. Elder argonian breeches is all I could find that's really knee-length shorts.

I like functional armors (without floating elements) but I also get that sometimes people want to wear a more fashionable/elegant/revealing/stupid armor. It can be part of the RP/power fantasy or whatever it is called these days. Basically saying "You are so far outmatched, I dont even need to wear closed shoes", and I think if someone wants that for his character it is completely ok. Why we can have glowing skins and a daedroth onesie but no elegegant female clothing with reasonable decollete or stockings is a bit strange to me. I think there are tasteful ways to implement more things like this. What bothers me way more is stuff that doesn't fit the setting like modern apparel or anime stuff.

Legion zero vigiles (style page only) is also a shorts, but it may or may not fit someone's taste; if someone doesn't have it already, it's probably also going to be very hard to find because it hasn't dropped in a long time.

One of the biggest problems with those shorts is the undyeable red fur.

Yeah, though they’re more like mummy wraps than shorts. Really wish the red fur wasn’t a problem, was gonna use it for an outfit but couldn’t.
