What's the best way to support this game?

Performance in Cyrodiil is getting worse again, so i would like to invest in better performance. Where and how do i have to spend my money so it goes back into making this game better? Do i have to send cash to someone? This is a serious question, because i don't want to fund new quests and dungeons, i just want better performance. And bug fixes. Not what we will get with U39, i mean real bugfixes.

When and if they fix cyrodiil performance, then sub to eso+

There is no way to influence ZOS in terms of what aspect of the game they invest in. So hang on to your money until they deliver a product you want to pay for, then pay for it then.

You don't. I do ESO Plus 1 month every 3-4 months out of the year to clear out my storage and only buy crowns when on sale.

Why not? I have been waiting for more than 30 years. It's not going to happen like this, at least not in my lifetime. I am sick of waiting around and always financing someone's next project or bonus payment, while the things i like to play are being neglected and never reach their full potential before they die. I am not able to make games myself, so i would like to invest a little extra in some parts of the game that deserve it. Is this too much to ask with a game of this size?

Players don't get that kind of control over a game.

ZOS is part of Zenimax Media, which is owned by Microsoft, so I suppose ultimately their shareholders have the final say, meaning if you actually invested money in the company by buying shares (as opposed to buying a product or service) you'd get some degree of control over it. But I think it's very unlikely Microsoft shareholders even hear about that level of detail for a subsidiary of a subsidiary company, much less make decisions around it, they probably just cover budgets, projected profits and maybe estimated release dates for major new releases.

(Also even when the chain of command is much more direct that kind of tactic isn't likely to work.)

So the answer is probably that you'd need to get a job in the appropriate department at ZOS.

Crown crates. You need to buy all of them. Once the Crown Store is empty a secret event will trigger and you'll be able to choose from a dropdown menu where all this money shall be spend on. Rumors also have it that you'll get in contact with the devs on a non public Discord too.

elder scrolls hasn't even existed for 30 years and eso is only nine years old so that's Impossible to have waited that long.

and the bug fixes in update 39 are real bug fixes, there aren't fake bug fixes.

I sincerely hope they don't employ any software developers who have only just learned how to code, or if they do, they would have to be closely supervised, and very limited in what they're allowed to work on. Most people can learn how to code, but doing it **properly** takes much training and experience.

Realistically, learning how to code then applying to the one to improve the coding for better optimization and bugfixes is the only way for the OP to get what they want, and when they get to that point they're likely to have a list of other priorities before they can even touch the bugs they want to work on.

Clear reports also can help the current team, but that isn't always the answer.

I was talking about my experience with video games in general. For me that started about 30 years ago with super mario on nintendo. I have played many games, but always had to rely on the good will of developers, managers and extremely rich investors. Most of them make big business decisions without ever playing their own video games. With huge games like ESO (where we have more than enough smaller games in one big game) i think it's time to give players a vote with their wallets. Let the players decide which parts of the game deserve more attention. On top of the old system of course. Just let me buy a mount for crowns, and invest 90% of the money directly into better performance and bugfixes. Or let others buy some furniture for their houses and invest the money in housing. On top of the money they already wanted to spend on this part of the game anyway.

Update 39 is not fixing the most annoying bugs, and instead of fixing what we have we will just get many more bugs and a big mess. That's not what i was hoping for.
