Favorite Starter Island(s)?

Of the 3 alliances' 5 starter Islands, which one is your favorite, and why? Mine is Khenarthi's Roost. I always have a good time exploring the island, especially the northwestern beach. Plenty of resources on these islands too.

It's been a long time but if I remember correctly the beta was there and back then were simpler times. Everyone was a happy, care free noob. Also I just think it's the best starter zone!

Betnikh

All my toons are AD, but I don't really like khajiiti architecture. Auridon is my home, but Betnikh is the more beautiful starter island imo.

Stros M'Kai

Stros m' Kai. I like how it's questline is all about gathering people for and then executing a heist.

Also I've always liked desert maps in games for some reason.

I guess I like it best because it was the first zone I experienced, back when you started in the Wailing Prison.

Khenarthi's Roost

Khenarthi's Roost is mine but all the starter zones are a shell of what they used to be because all the bots set up shop in the starter zones and with recent changes you don't even start in those zones any more when players make new characters so the zones are mostly empty.

Stros M'Kai

It’s a charming place. I adore the Redguard architecture, and I love the harbour area of Port Hunding, but the whole island and story really felt like I was about to embark on a huge adventure. It’s the only starter island I genuinely love to revisit still. Khenarthi’s Roost also holds fond memories.

Stros M'Kai

Stross M'Kai is one love despite the sands and Redguard architecture I don't like so much.

You'll meet your first dwemer ruins here.
There is a nice storyline with first elements of quest alteration which I love. Help people and they'll help you. Ageless classic.
Stealth mission. Be a ninja, yeah. It can't be compared with TG challenges, but it is so cool for start.
A stylish disguise at the end. One of my characters worn it for years.
Actually it is one of the zones I like to return to time to time. It is nice to touch the past, walk the places where the journey began.

Also I don't like Bleackrock. It is nice as it is, but I hate the state I've turned this village into. It is sad to leave the place that way.

I'm glad you asked, because I was just thinking of making a similar thread.

I'm tempted to vote for Khenarthi's Roost, because I've been enjoying playing through it again on my new Bosmer Arcanist.

I also enjoy Bleakrock Isle and Bal Foyen, although it would be nice if Bleakrock Isle could remain as a livable zone after you complete the zone story there.

But I've just got to vote for Stros M'Kai. Aside from the fact that my two mains are DC characters, Stros M'Kai is the only starter island that has a Dwemer ruin on it. Also, it has the nicer player housing, even if you can't afford it until you've saved up a lot of gold.

Bot island 1,2,3,4 or 5? Kenarthi's I suppose. MILD SPOILER (although if you're reading this and haven't played them you should expect that by now)

Saving all the undead and the idea of people being nothing more than a new outfit. And of course "scream LOUDER, the Gods can't hear you"(not sure if that's exact)

Although I do have a vague memory of the very first time there and not being able, first to put it on and then later not being able to take it off! 🤣

I enjoy the environment of Kenarthi's Roost best, but I am also partial to Khajiits in general so big bias. I also love my little home there.

Bleackrock for sure. There's the person that thinks she's a skeever, the crazy guy who is in the ice cave, and pirates! Oh! And a deathclaw. How could things start off any better?

Betnikh

I'm fond of Khenarthi's Roost because my characters are basically always AD, including my first, so lots of nice memories and stuff. But not being biased in that way, I like Betnikh's overall vibe and quests the mosts. I do always like getting maormer content though
