[SOLVED - see post #4] Twice-Born Star set - 1 of the 2 mundus boons sometimes vanishes

On 7 crafting alts I recently created, I'm using the Twice-Born Star set as 1 of their 2 equipment sets, and activated The Thief and The Lover mundus boons, since that's the main bonus of this set: it allows you to have 2 mundus boons active simultaneously. However, I just found that on 5 of my 7 new alts, The Thief boon had vanished from their character summary page. I found a Thief mundus stone and reactivated it for 1 of those 5 (which I think clearly indicates that it's more than just a display bug for the character summary page), but haven't gotten around to reactivating it for the other 4 yet.

I never unequipped any of the Twice-Born Star set items, so I can't explain the behaviour with that. I'm guessing it's a bug ?

There were a few fixes for mundus stones in a recent patch (July 11 for all platforms). It’s possible they reset something on their end, since at least one thing (not explicitly mentioned in the notes) was exploitable. It’s also possible there’s something still bugged that needs another look.

Have you lost a mundus since getting one after the patch on the 11th?

I lost a mundus on 1 of my new alt chars yesterday, so the problem's still occurring.

I lost a mundus on 1 of my new alt chars yesterday, so the problem's still occurring. Also, I created this thread a week after the patch on the 11th.

just to make sure, you do have all 5 pc set active on both of your weapon bars?

you definitely lose the mundus if you had say 2 different sets equipped for weapons, and then was bar swapping

if this is not the case then it would likely still be an occasional bug

mostly mentioning that to cover bases lol, as it was something people tried but this you would have likely noticed very quickly

Actually, they're new characters, and my main focus has been on leveling them in crafting. Because of this, none of them have anything equipped on the back bar, and I have occasionally pressed the bar swap key by mistake. I didn't realise this would remove one of the two mundus boons, but then I've never used this particular set before.

Actually, they're new characters, and my main focus has been on leveling them in crafting. Because of this, none of them have anything equipped on the back bar, and I have occasionally pressed the bar swap key by mistake. I didn't realise this would remove one of the two mundus boons, but then I've never used this particular set before.

thats why i figured i would suggest looking at that, if your character were under lvl 15, you wouldnt have noticed and i didnt know how you had them geared up

but if you say had 2 different sets front and back bar (or no weapon back bar), you would lose the 5th pc bonus of the set, which is what allows you to have 2 mundus stones

if you lose that bonus, you immediately lose 1 mundus stone buff if you had 2 (im not sure if the game arbitrarily picks which one is removed, or if its just random)

They're all using The Lover and The Thief, and it's always The Thief that they lose. I think I applied them to the 7 alts in that order, so perhaps the game just picks the one I applied second, or perhaps it just picks the one with the highest alphabetical order... who knows?

Wow! Read this by accident and you alerted me to a problem I didn't even know that I had! However, in my case, the Lover disappeared by the Thief stayed. Did you try to get the missing one back?

Yes, getting them back works fine, and now I know the cause of them vanishing, I can avoid doing the same in future.
