I can see that there are a ton of posts talking about the same issue, but I think we do need at least another ton of posts to get attention and zenimax to do something about the matter.

Concerning tales of tribute. This game is too much about rng. Tavern cards are random, player who gets the first buy is random, cards that become available to buy are random, your own deck draws are random.. We all get the point. There are way too many things happening that you can do nothing about but which clearly decides the fate of the game even right from the beginning. As I write this post, I just had a game where my opponent got to 18 points already when I had the change to buy a card that had some value, and as we had sorcerer king deck in play you can all imagine how the game ended. I would have a thousand sad tales to talk about games where I had literally nothing to do to prevent losing.

Worst days I have had like 20 games in a row that no matter what I do, what decks I choose, what "strategy" I decide to go with I will lose and usually it happened right at the beginning as opponent had the chance to buy the best cards and I was left with nothing. That is totally absurd as we struggle to even get the daily done. Yes, the game is part of daily quests in the game and this is why I wonder why can't we do the daily part against npc or get the daily done no matter win or lose. It should not be, that to be able to finish daily quest you must spend many hours at worse. Do that with all your characters and your whole day literally goes in playing tot and trying to get enough lucky to have that victory, because it is about luck like 99%.

There is no other way to forward this message to zenimax but to demand : Either you change the game so that there is less rng and more room for player choices, or you let us finish the daily either playing against npc which tend to play poorly or just let us get the daily done just by game played.

We even have high score list for Tot which includes prices to those in the top. So it is a contest of luck? Like lottery. This feels stupid also. You can spend all your days and time playing Tot but if you are not lucky, you will not reach the top. I've had it so that I managed to get on top 10 and at the same day fall in the position of over 1000. Surely, I do know how the game works, how different decks work with each other etc. I have honestly lost my nerves pretty badly because of this too annoying rng crab. And we ought to have fun while playing Eso.

I gave perfectly good options for you to implement during next patches to improve our gaming experience ( isn't that your intention? ), please do something.

    1. I agree about the RNG factor. It‘s too much and can’t be countered at all, skill doesn’t matter here. The randomness of the tavern is the biggest problem. Rounds during you can’t buy anything from the tavern while your opponent gets (good) cards are basically just cementing your loss.

    2. If some decks are in play, you just have to throw out your strategy and play with those decks, too. As soon as somebody picks Crow or Orgnum, your only chance is to make use of them, too. If the opponent gets to many Crow cards, he‘s winning due to the infinite draw mechanic. If the opponent uses Orgnum patron every round, he’s also winning by the sheer nature of it. So as soon as people do that, you need to cancel / counter their actions by doing exactly the same. It‘s bad game design and these two are the only decks that make this mandatory.

    3. I do not understand your complaint about the daily quest. There’s one for PvE and one for PvP matches. Dailies aren’t mandatory either, so I don’t think they need to be changed.

    You can't reason and have tactics against bad rng which makes about 99% of the game.

    There is no pve option for tales of tribute other than challenging npc characters but you do not get the daily reward nor any reward out of it I believe. Daily reward at least is given only through a win in unranked casual or ranked matches which you need to win and it does not matter which one you decide to play since same rng bulls*it aplies to both. I have tested it out also, and get the same bad results no matter which one you play.

    The nature of daily quests, as said by their title, is to be done daily. Like daily crafting, it is supposed to be done daily and when you have many characters and craft dailies on each, this is how you get most out of it and it is one of the best sources to get yourself means to craft stuff and to get gold. It should not be intentional, that a daily quest takes too much effort and time because then it collapses the whole nature of daily quest. I am pretty sure zenimax did not take into account how badly and often people can encounter bad rng, even tens of games in a row in TOT. I am sure this was not their intention that people will struggle to get their daily reward. This is why me, and many others have proposed that they would change the daily part of TOT to be able to be finished against npc characters or to get the rewards just by finishing a game of TOT win or lose. And I would like to believe, this is the fix they will provide us sooner or later.

    I only do NPC Dailies other than a "few versus player" achievements that I cannot get everything else reward wise drops from NPC dailies too.

    I have been known to do seven or eight sets of those dailies when bored. :)

    Edit:- I rarely concede but do occasionally lose, not enough to make me stop doing them though.

    There is a daily specifically for fighting against the NPCs. There are no rewards that only come from pvp. You can get purple and yellow crates from pvp that has better drop rates, but you can get all the rewards from npcs.

    There are 2 dailies you can get from gonfalon bay TOT house. The other one is a match against some club member (npc) in specified town. The other daily is about dueling another club member, i guess you can also challenge npc but the quest clearly states " If I want to collect the reward the Club is offering, I need to challenge and defeat another player through the group & activity finder." That is pretty clear isn't it?

    You can not get the daily reward that activity finder offers unless you are lucky enough to beat another player. And as I write this, I am yet again in a situation with one of my characters that I have now had 6 games in a row bad rng and had no chances to win. No matter even if I could have seen opponents cards, nothing to do to counter that bad rng.

    This is a clear annoyance and as you can see from forum posts, there are great many people who have taken the time to come forth anb address zenimax to do something about this because that rng bulls*it is way too much bulls*it to handle.

    Even the top ESO youtubers have said that the TOT rng is a nightmare.

    Why defend something that clearly needs a fix?

    We all enjoy ESO and the point of our cries is to get this TOT madness on enjoyable level. Our demand is reasonable and justified.

    I do the NPC daily every day. I have never seen a daily encounter with ToT. I guess that must be something with Necrom which I don't have.

    I don't like to repeat myself but again: The daily quest you get from marunji in gonfalon bay clearly states:" If I want to collect the reward the Club is offering, I need to challenge and defeat another player through the group & activity finder."

    You can also que straight up from group finder either ranked match or casual and to get the daily purple colored reward which gives the best trophies, you need to win against other player, not npc.

    This is pretty simple. I do not know what you are confusing here or are we even playing the same game, but these dailies I am talking about and daily rewards that are of any real value can only be get through a win against other players, not npc.

    I will not repeat this again.

    there are some things that can only be done with pvp matches (and you can get a purple box from the npc daily with 3 wins, the gold box is exclusive to pvp but just has better drop rates)

    the required items for pvp tribute include stuff like the achievements for card upgrades, achievements for doing pvp tribute dailies, and achievements for hitting all of the tiers in the ranked competitive mode

    im still missing a few tribute things because i dont enjoy pvp tribute, and never played it enough to make it higher than ebony rank (i did just enough to get the card upgrade achievements, still need to do that with the almalexia deck too)

    I mean, what’s even the difference? It’s not like real PvP and it your rank isn’t that high your enemies aren’t that great either. It’s basically the same as playing against NPCs.

    The other npc questgiver there gives you the Cards Across Tamriel daily quest or whatever the name is, that one you can play 3 npcs and get a purple coffer.

    Right next to Marunji is his sister Kishka. Kishka gives a quest to complete up to 3 NPC matches. As with the pvp daily, the more matches you win, the better quality coffer you get at the end. The first match gives a green coffer, the second a blue, and the final win nets a purple coffer. The higher quality coffers have better drop rates for nice items.
