Has anyone seen a quest-revealing add-on yet?

jakenaftalb14a_ESO
One that reveals all incomplete quests on the map or their start points?

No, I have not seen an add-on like that but I have an alternative suggestion, at least for the first couple of zones: levels 3-25. Press the "M" key to open your map. If you see a blotch of white without a black icon, go there and you'll find a quest.

Thank you for the response. I'm V4 at the moment haha. Was asking because there are a few areas in which some quests are tough to find once you have completed the vast majority of them (namely Shadowfen). Not impossible, obviously, but an add-on like that would be ~fabulous~

And how? I did 61 quests in shadowfen, no chance i remember their names or things I did to complete.

I think a list like the Skyshard Achievments is the only way that would help.

You just saved my day! Perhaps this will do it to find those last two quests... :D As soon as the server is up.

It would be nice to have an addon, what reveals quest or quest chain giver approximate location, with the option to hide quests already done, like its done in skyshard addon.
  • jakenaftalb14a_ESO
^ that's exactly what i meant :) thinking of WoW's Quest Helper before Blizz implemented their own, only with quests marked on the maps

I have found the skyshard map brings me into areas where I missed quests where I could have sworn I had already travelled. Although now 20 levels too low

I kind of wish there was a fog of war so you could have a better idea of where you have explored and where you haven't

That is way ESO is fun to play. Because you need to explore the game to get all the quests. An addon like this would kill all the fun for me. Because I like that I find more quests then you because I spend time exploring and you just bum rush through content without exploring anything. The game should penalize that type of behavior IMO.

The final quest in shadowfen is impossible to do at the moment. A friend of mine sent in a support ticket about it and this was the response..
We wanted to let you know that you indeed did all the possible quests in Shadowfen. since completing the quest "Trail of the Skin-Stealer" is blocking access to the quest "Eyes of the Enemy" . In turn, it will render some of our players to be temporarily stuck on 61/62 quests in this zone.

At this time there is no fix that allow players in this situation to acquire the "Eyes of the Enemy" quest at this time. Our sincere apologies for this since it's an issue on our side.

If only we had sent in the support ticket before we spent a combined 10+ hours looking for the 1 missing quest.

The fog of war on the map would be an excellent idea to help locate untraveled areas. I would love to see that option added at some point.

It kinda would be although it would likely still end people missing a few. Ive got like 2 Shadowfen quests remaining and 1 quest in the rift remaining for all of the pact done have spent some time on it. guess i will give it a go again.

Penalize completion? I enjoy the quests, and I enjoy completing all of them. That should be enough. I love exploring and I'm glad that Zenimax designed quests in ESO with the intent of emphasizing adventure and exploration. This does not change that in many cases it is more tedious than it is entertaining/rewarding to find the final quests in a zone.
Again, I wouldn't expect Zenimax to make any changes to their map or the out-of-the-box gameplay experience. Was asking for an addon :)

I came to the forums wanting to make a post as to why none of you techi people haven't made an addon that shows quests you haven't got yet or completed, just like the sky shard one.

This has just made my day, was doing my nut in trying to find quests to level, and looking at this on my ipad is great (yes if it was a built in addon it would be perfect) but I will take great, thanks so much for this link, saved me no end of hassle and time.

FYI, the achievement for quests is not necessarily all the quests. I've gotten the achievement and then done another quest in zones before.

I would love to see one of these techy people take this and implement it into the world and use the skyshard example to remove finished quest start locations.

    1. Look at in-game map
    2. Identify map location that is all white
    3. Go there and uncover a quest - All areas have a quest - When I look at my map every area of the map has "something"

I have 1 quest I am missing in shadowfen and it is infuriating, can't figure out which one it is.

Anyone who has actually spent a real amount of time searching Shadowfen seems to either have been lucky and completed their 62 or are stuck where we are at 61/62.

All zones have a small amount of "overage" so when you actually complete the achievement, there are still a couple of quests left (had that experience in Stonefalls, Deeshan, and Eastmarch). Shadowfen however had an entire questline removed from the NW corner and the quest number was never adjusted to accommodate those missing quests......hence the reason why it's so difficult to complete, because there is literally no extra.

All they have to do is lower the required quest number from 62 to 60 and 99.99% of us will get the achievement.

For those stuck at 61/62 quests in Shadowfen: Try going back to the coffin-type symbol in the bottom middle of the map (where the many wisps are). I was at 61/62 and this symbol was already white for me, but when I accidentally moved back there, i saw that there was another quest.

In total, there are supposedly 64 quests in Shadowfen, but I agree, it was a b**** to find :)

Some quests are mutually exclusive. In some quests you have to make a decision to help NPC A or NPC B. Depending on your choice you will get the next quest from A or B, but not both. So 64 quests on EsoHead, but only 62 in your quest log makes sense in these cases.
