Anyone else have who has protanomaly colorblindness who feel like they are staring straight into neon green lights when they see arcanist spells?

Since the release of arcanist class, everytime i meet an arcanist in overland using their spells or i play with them in any group finder activity i feel like im gonna vomit. Strained eyes/headache/migrane for hours for minutes of gameplay with Arcanists has been a terrible experience.

(if any grammar errors, english is not my 1st or 2nd language)

On PC you can turn off spell effects from other players, but you will still see the arcanist beam. It will go from a bright neon glowstick to a dark dirty sharpie green slender pipe. The problem with that option it can make it hard to telegraph or coordinate with other players like you'll see a wall of elements cast, but nothing on the ground.

i havent had any issues with it, but i can definitely see where some players might have issues if there is another arcanist facing you pointing the beam directly into your camera lol
    plays PC/NA
    handle @Necrotech_Master
    active player since april 2014

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

I hate the arcanist skill effects, they're overly garish, and look like they got moved to ESO from a completely different game.
    PC(Steam) / EU / play from Melbourne, Australia / avg ping 390

A "mute colors (Arcanist)" option would be a good quality of life change.

Im on PC, i tried to set additinal ally effects to OFF but i couldnt see any difference due the type of my colorblindness.. According to a reddit post these settings should've helped but they didnt do anything for me sadly.

"Maximum Particle System" set to minimum
"Particle Suppression Distance" set to minimum
"Show Additional Ally Effects" set to off

Only one thing left is hope. Hoping the devs listen to community feedback and give us an option to pick a color.

I got a 3-day migraine from pvping against Arcanists just after release.
Made a thread about it, and posted in others' threads.
The lazer beam bs spell is the worst. The beginning book thing and end of beam create artifacts burnt into my 'vision'.
I did end up getting another one lasted 2 days, not as bad as the first.
Reducing your settings in Eso does little to nothing for others' spells/effects.
Even video settings like gamma does very little.
I even tried changing to custom colour modes to wash out the "oh shinies" neon colours.
Even so far as playing in black and white.
I ended up with a barely any colour at all profile, and wear my Raybans while esoing.
In my opinion the flash bang neon screen vomit of todays games is...whatever.
There is so much of it, it does not provide useful information to the players anymore, just distraction.
And they wonder why players insist on having true visual tracker bars for timers/buffs/debuffs etc.
My game time has reduced exponentially, eventually I probably just won't bother logging in anymore.
Shrug - games come and go.
