As the title says.

Decrease the dmg reduction in PVP or make the requierments different.

But if people drop undeath, they'll have more mag and stam to break free, roll and heal.

They'll also be less vulnerable to the currently awesome player killing power of Fire Damage and Dawnbreaker.

undeath passive should scale with stage of vampirism and health regen should increase depending on stage of vampirism, not decrease, while heals (specifically heals from external sources) should be less effective scaling with stage of vampirism.

I like this idea! It makes way more sense than the current system, where you’re supposed to be this immortal vampire that doesn’t regenerate?

I’m pretty sure that the system was reversed initially, where you started with the worst drawbacks but countered them by feeding, but decided that lore was less important than convenience.

A dev famously said "That's the price you pay" in response to a streamer asking why the health regen was nerfed. I generally disagree with this stance, it's not a price to pay... it's a workaround. Groups know this and the smartest groups stack high amounts of HoTs instead of relying on regen. Groups would likely not use regen builds if regen suddenly became better. If heals received were nerfed depending on the stage of vampirism, we'd likely see less abuse "clever use of game mechanics" from the free damage reduction passive, or attempts to raise their heals to compensate for the healing debuff.

In PVE content the ability cost passive on Feed is certainly noticeable, some people try to keep as low of a stage as possible or cure it outright depending on their build (high HPS healers and DPS have to make informed choices about this). I don't know of many tanks who rely on the undeath passive, but so long as they aren't permablocking the cost debuff from Feed is not much, a healing debuff would be more than fair here. This cost is present in PVP as well, but the damage in large groups is more burst damage-focused so cost is less of an issue (it may delay ult generation by a few seconds, though).

    Greetings,

After review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic (Combat & Character Mechanics, as this thread is discussing combat mechanics).

    Thank you for your understanding.

In return give Vampires other buffs to make up for it then.
