Flag fragments only dropping from ranked matches?

Since it is harder to get a match when queuing for ranked and it is harder to qualify for the golden box I now only play casual. However it seems that Marunji now gives me less often a fragment for the achievement that gives you Khaleen as a house guest. Or let's be more precise: It did not drop since I switched to casual. Does anyone know how these fragments can drop? I only need 2 more....

I've farmed the golden box (daily quests) on four characters and not ONE SINGLE drop of a fragment! ZOS, are you serious?

I've been doing only the beat 3 NPC quests each day since Necrom drop, as well as a handful of additional NPC matches, and I have gotten 3 of the fragments so far. 2 of 1 set and 1 of the other. So it doesn't appear to be siloed into only player matches, they are just super rare.

Mh. Since the last fragment won't drop I will just give it up alltogether. They have apparantly nerved the drop rate to abysmal depths.

Apparently it is a bug. Since 1 week zero drop from golden box... although I farm them on several toons

I hadn't tried to get a golden box since the update, but i have the last three days, and each time i get a frag. I even got one from a purple too.

Then it is a bug. As I said I farm golden boxes on several toons. Two golden boxes per day minimum. And zero drops since a week, since I completed the card conjurer achievement.

It’s possible that your loot table is bugged, but it’s more likely that you’ve had a run of terrible RNG.

I've issued a bug report. I've surely farmed 20 golden boxes (and you can imagine how many ToT matches I had to play to qualify for the 60 wins against players) without a drop.

BTW: can they also drop from green boxes?

I mean I am tired to play 4 matches for one win which is a good day's average for one win against a player on ranked these days. On casual it is more like 3 matches for one win.

iirc they also used to drop from purple or very rarely from blue boxes you get in your mail on each win. But nada. With at 60 boxes overall (a lot of greens however included) the drop rate for this last fragment is entirely enraging.

I have not played any PvP matches, just PvE matches. So far I have 4 Heavily Played Tribute Cards and 4 Scraps of the Spearhead's Colors on PC EU. I can check PC NA in a little while, but the gist is that both fragments do drop for the PvE matches. I'm reasonably sure that I got all of them from the purple coffer from Kishka, but I'm not absolutely certain.

Today I got a flag fragment from a purple NPC daily coffer, and then got a heavily played card from one of the green coffers that came from one of those matches.

This was my first flag and second card fragment ever, and I've been doing the NPC daily on one character almost every day since about a week after Necrom dropped.

Farming these types of achievements is meant to be frustrating to the point of not being worth it. They are in the game so that they are passively earned by players who habitually play that bit of content. I'm on 8/10 for both card achievements now I think. I go days without any and then got one of each just now. It's probably not a bug, just RNG.

I finally, FINALLY, got the last flag piece. After I took a break from ESO yesterday.

Funny.

I've played intensively throughout the last two weeks to farm these achievements. Initially I got good drops but since last week nada. Now I take a break and it drops again.

I am relieved now.

I've been playing matches since Necrom dropped on Xbox/NA and I have yet to get a single scrap from playing against NPCs are from doing match making. As usual, the drop rates/RNG in ESO continue to disappoint.
