Bastion Nymic Dreamer section: Strix and its clones

Is there a way to dispatch of the clones fast/faster? Is there some hidden mechanic that I'm missing? At the start of the fight I tab selected the "real" Strix and tried focusing mostly on it (occasionally switching to the clones to see what happens). There are also some "shades" (??) of Strix that appear from time to time that seem to disappear if I hit them (not sure though as it was quite hectic). I did finish it but It was a slog and I was fighting 3 Strixes at once. Any advice on this one?

    Greetings,

After further review, we have decided to move this thread to Players Helping Players as we think it is more appropriate for this topic.

    Thank you for your understanding.

I don't think there is a mechanic based on my runs. It's just a decision as to whether you want to clear the clones or focus on the real boss.

At least it's better than that Depths of Malatar boss lol.

he makes a maximum of 2 clones of himself, but neither of them are required to be killed to end the fight

i personally use the target markers, so if im running with other people everyone can see which is the real one

the shades are not full clones, just little shadow guys that other similar NPCs can do and they die easily

the only annoyance with the target marker is that when he vanishes to call adds, it removes the marker, but it also leaves the clones so when he reappears just mark that one

i just put a focus on the main guy and once he dies the fight ends, no point in trying to kill or focus the clones

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

So you mark the real one with a target marker, but the target marker disappears when he vanishes to call in adds, but the clones never disappear?

    Solution:

Reverse the situation. Mark the CLONES when you know which ones they are, and focus attack the Strix which DOES NOT have the marker.

that could work too, but mentally i usually attack which has a marker lol

i usually just re-mark him because if your running solo he always tries for a sneak attack on you as soon as he reappears and is right in front of you
