Is the bow's attack speed capped?

(I am a night blade wearing medium armor) I'm asking because my passives allow a combined 20% faster speed but when I use haste (30% faster attack for 20 seconds) the speed doesn't increase. 9 shots in 10 seconds for 50% and 20% increases. But using dual wield and haste shows a big difference.

    Haste doesn't work for bows and it never has. People aren't sure if it's a bug or as intended.

    Haste dont work for bows at all,i'm pretty sure its bug.

    Seeing as it comes pre-enchanted on looted bows, it's a bug in that it either it's supposed to work but doesn't, or loot-tables/crafters aren't supposed to be able to put that trait on bows.

    No, he's right, bow's charging time seems to be set, and nothing can modify it.

    I have:
    - 20% attack speed from passive
    - 30% attack speed from Haste
    - bugged Torug's Pact set (which shortens the charge time of heavy by 1 sec)

    from the usual, IDK, 3 seconds of charging, it should be lowered to 1(/0.5, depends on order of those effects in calculations) second. HOWEVER. Charging animation still looks absolutely the same, damage stays low and FTC even tells you it was "Partial charge" if you release arrow before hitting 3 seconds (or whatever the base number really is).

    See, dual wield after these 3 things looks pretty much like a blender...

    So again a nightblade skill that didnt work correctly and the medium armor attack speed dont work too. Bow as a damage dealer in VR inis is useless at the moment.

    Well, if they don't want to make Bow attacks unrealistically fast, they should at least convert attack speed into bonus heavy attack damage...
    so let's say attack speed stays the same but attacks will deal +50% damage. (and ignore that ABSURDLY LOW weapon damage cap they are forcing on us)

    As of now, attack speed on Bows are completely useless because you simply are not able to decrease the time for the charging part, this attack speed bonus, (even a 10% from dual wielding) is ridiculously visible whereas attack bonus trait on a Bow is just a waste of a good gem.

    I hope they never make bow or staff deal the same damage as melee. What they need to do is fix them for consistency with haste, and give them their niche like CC or interrupts on top of lower damage.

    Melee should have higher damage output for the inconveniences involved such as positioning requirements and the dumb large ass circles that force you to constantly port miles away from a boss doing little to no dps in the meantime.

    If this game has ranged doing the same damage as melee, ranged will always be picked.

    well perhaps the arrow could be like the staff when it fires even when running behind something it never misses , so perhaps the arrow could be guided as well

    Its not capped. Its locked. Passives dont influence it either.

    As for 'melee should have higher dmg than ranged'... id rather they made ranged damage dealing as challenging as melee instead of making it weaker.
