What in the game gives you an unsettling feeling?

So I’m curious to all the players who have been here for a long time or like myself since the beginning; what is something in the game, that when you do it, gives you an unsettling feeling, it unlocks a deep core memory?
EXCLUDING VMA…too easy

For me, it’s the Planar Inhibitor in vWGT. I remember when you couldn’t burn the boss down and you had to do the mechanics and that one boss…that one boss…ruined friendships. The horror.

30+ runs of Darkshade Caverns II to get the final Ebon Dwarven Wolf lead i needed from the Engine Guardian. I shudder at just the thought of that dungeon.

    2) the first run of vMA

Mantikoras in any shape or form, aside from the smallest ones. I know I'm in for a bad time when I see one.

    [Edited for removed content]

Edit by me: Since the edit of the thread title changed the whole point of it, I need to clarify that mantikoras don't unsettle me, they're just a pain in my ass.

Ah, I thought something had changed about that, but I wasn't sure.
Yeah I never understood it the way it originally was.

Harvesters brings back bad memories of Doshia, Northern Craglorn shadowcasters brings back memories of fearful resource farming, Planar Inhibitor makes me remember how it used to be, that island minotaur boss in vBRF reminds me of the awful times pugging it when the dungeon was new.

I dont quite understand the original post. I had to look up the word "unsettling" in context. Which one?

Unsettling as in annoying or pet peeves:
Certain posts in general discussion 🙃. Or its the hair and clothes that lack high quality/realistic animations & physics. Kahjiit don't have paws for feet (looks weird to me).

    Or

Unsettling as in unexpected or scary: it's the dark creepy dungeon (shipright wreckage) on veteran difficulty that's easy to get lost in and is full of very powerful green skeleton monsters. The impossible end boss mechanics when the boss creates many, many deadly twisty water things that instantly destroys the whole group...

    1) When I walk in the tunnels of Imperial City sewers with pockets full of tel var stones, and I'm very afraid of meeting some overseer or some group of players from an opposing faction

    2) Maebroogha The Void Lich

    3) The very last phase of veteran Fang Lair hard mode, when ghosts come from everywhere and you have to dance between them to avoid contact

Sorry, like some others before: nothing, it's a game.

Generally, no matter what game, it's supposed to be fun. So of course, it's part of gaming to struggle at time on something difficult, thus being upset and/or frustrating. However, for me, the limit is when fun stops and negative emotions arise: game over! I swap to something more fun.
I'm out of my mind, feel free to leave a message... PC/NA

The former, sort of. The wording got changed, but it was basically things you have such bad memories with that you don't want to do them again.

Wuyuvus. I don't want to tell you all how long I kept trying to solo that... thing before I gave up.

I would beat the heck out of it, it would heal, I would heal and we'd repeat the dance over and over again. I was convinced I had lowered its health slightly each time around and was wearing it down haha

Thank got for AWA, never going to that cave again.

The Malabal Tor Questline. I hate it. I wish I could help the villain.

When you learn the backstory to the Hound, you realize who the real victim is. The Hound and the new Green Lady grew up in the same village. They were childhood friends and grew to love each other. But when she was chosen as the next Green Lady, her sense of Duty was stronger than her Love, and the Hound was betrayed, abandoned, devastated. Forced to let her go to be married to someone else. Everything he did, was out of pain and sorrow and a last desperate attempt to regain his other half.

    And I killed him.

And they thanked me for it.

And the dialogue options forced me to congratulate the married "couple", as the Green Lady joked to me about the vigorous Honeymoon to follow.

For 99% I really like the soundtrack of this game. I think that together with the great graphics, it can set a mood, and that is why I like ESO so much.

But I really had to rush through the Deadlands zone because of the music that is so creepy!

Furthermore, the bug with the deadlands music in Apocrypha makes me not want to go to that zone. If I have to, I turn the music off, or play the original Morrowind soundtrack to sooth my mind. Eager waiting for a fix!
And so the Elder Scrolls foretold. You will be shy, and I will be bold.
