Gorne is the worst public dungeon ever

I really enjoy running public dungeons, but Gorne is one I will do once per character and never step foot in again. Spending most of my time running into dead ends and backtracking isn't my idea of a good time. I really dread doing it 4 more times, but if I want to unlock Sharp on all my characters and complete the zone map I have no choice.

Once you run a lap through it a few times it gets to be fairly straightforward. Having farmed out all 25 acorn things I needed and leveling azander and looting urns, the dungeon is pretty much no more confusing than any other imo.

I've done it twice so far and it was even worse the second time around.

    Greetings,

After review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic (Dungeons, Trials & Arenas, as this thread is regarding a dungeon).

    Thank you for your understanding.

Aren't public dungeons overland content like delves, bosses, dolmens &cet.

Anyway, I did it few times on PTS and it felt not more mazey than some older public dungeons to me. Of course minimap addon helps greatly on PC.

I have the minimap addon, but multiple levels and tiny doorways that aren't always obvious, and having to go over then down then around a loop then back up just to move what literally looks like 10 feet is more frustrating than it's worth to me.

To me, going through Gorne is nothing compared to trying to get to the skyshard in Traitor's Vault on Artaeum.

Is it up this flight of stairs? How about THIS one? Maybe it's down this corridor. Wait, now it's inexplicably below you and across the room.

The difference is that Gorne is required to unlock Sharp-as-Night. I spent close to 2 hours in there yesterday when most public dungeons take a fraction of that time to complete, all because I kept getting stuck in dead ends.

to go in there for sharps quest, i found it fairly direct route compared to the actual quest in gorne

after entry i take the left path and you just follow that pretty straight until you get to the hideout for sharps quest, its mostly caves and such there are no stairways or anything

the most entertaining thing to me in this public dungeon is the npcs fighting each other in the group event lol

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

That is how I remember it too. It's a bit more difficult to get to the skyshard there, but it's nothing compared to the one in Traitor's Vault.

I completed the dungeon too while I was there because there is no way I am going to do that place more than once per character. If I wasn't such a completionist I wouldn't even do that.

I see your Traitors Vault and raise you Bahraha's Gloom.
