I really don't get this fascination with running past mobs on delves. It is not like you can't just explode them while moving.

I run past mobs in delves because I don't want to spend a half hour to meet an objective I can finish in 5 minutes or less by just going straight to it.

What do I say to all of this?

I have no value. Their value is more than mine - I get it.

I, I, I, ... in an MMO, but I respect what you're doing and why you're doing it. Honestly, I do. Keep doing it.

I just hate cleaning up your mess.

    I hope that's ok too.

I always kill what I aggro, but I know what you mean. Invincible mobs, which are returning to their spawnpoint can be quite annoying.

On the other side I'm always watching with a smile, when a player is obliterated by the horde he pulled, because he guessed the distance of the chain wrong or ran into a dead end. That also happens quite often.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

I'd love to watch them overcome and die... but I always help out.

The mobs that chase me eventually stop and run back to their spawn spot. They don't aggo anyone else until they are back in their spot and someone gets into their range. I really don't understand how this negatively affects anyone else.

If you aggro it, then at least don't kite it all over the place, so it can stay inside the AoEs, for the love of the divines.

Yes, true... but sometimes I go into a delve wanting the full experience (maybe that's selfish of me).

And it's hard when I'm exploring, and mobs are running here and there, and I never know where they will end up. Sometimes they run back to my exact point and I'm not ready. Not a huge deal, I know, but still... you try to kill something only to realise that you can't because it's still reacting to someone else pulling them before you.

Like I said, not a huge deal, but these mobs are not hard to kill and wouldn't take you half an hour to meet that 5 minute objective. Then they can reset for everyone else coming through.

    Honestly, it's fine.

I'd say this more to that one person in a Dungeon group that sprints past all the mob pulls to the next Boss, then complains when the now split up and overwhelmed group wipes.

Sometimes I want to kill mobs (perhaps because I'm levelling a companion or doing an endeavor). If someone is pulling them away, and I supposed to wait until they return? Then wait for the next set, etc. It's annoying behaviour.

Some players want to kill all the mobs while others just want to meet their objectives. No one way is any more right than the other.

And when I run past these mobs I am not pulling them away... they are chasing me without provocation.

AFAIK I've already done every delve in game (except Necrom, still waiting for the sale). I'm not going to waste time killing every trivial trash I pass with alt when going in for the skyshard or a daily. (If I go for daily which requires killing the boss I run to boss and in case it's actually up I do wait for a short time if any player I passed by is coming for it before slapping it ded.)
For dungeons &cet, I let the tank/crown/whoever else pull. (And expect if they pull they deal with it.)

Nothing wrong with running boss to boss in easier dungeons. It's good to announce that's what your plan is though beforehand so everyone can be on the same page. No reason to spend 20 minutes in FG1 when you can do it in 4 minutes and get the job done.

There is no mess. These mobs won't touch any other player until they are back in their spot and get aggroed.

I didn't say one way was more right. You said your behaviour doesn't affect other players. I responded that it does. When you pull mobs, you make it more difficult for those who who want to kill them. So yes, one way isn't right. Just be aware that your behaviour can be annoying to others.

But there is a way to run to the boss without aggroing everything.

Ok, I guess I'm in the minority.

I just thought in an MMO you think of other players.

    My mistake.

There is a mess if I'm there in their starting position after you have just stormed through them.

Anyway, I don't want to argue.

    Agree to disagree.

I do nice things for other players all the time. I go help with World Bosses when others call out in zone chat. I've sent gold to new players I've heard in zone or met while out questing to help them get started. I've given advice when questions were being asked.

But I don't have to take the time to play a way I don't enjoy on the off chance that there may be another player in the area that has different priorities than me.

Nobody is saying you do. Again, just be aware that your behaviour might be annoying to others, that's all. I'm sure I occasionally do stuff that irritates other players too. Doesn't mean I'm a jerk, and you running past mobs and pulling them doesn't mean you're a jerk. But you said you didn't understand how it negatively affects others, and I explained how it can negatively affect others, is all.

I'm not saying you do. You are free to do whatever you want. I've said that from my first message. Why are you arguing with me?

I've seen posts from you before and I agree with most. You are very informed and I've always admired what you say. I've said agree to disagree... why can't it be left there?

This is a consequence of playing an MMO. That is unfortunate but no one should have to change the way they enjoy because someone else doesn't like it.

In delves and public dungeons I do not care. As long as I can do what I came to do, you can be merry and play "Jack Sparrow running away from tribal warriors" all you like.

    In Dungeons however... 😡
I'll initiate a vote to kick, if anyone just runs ahead and thus disrespects all others. Especially when they muck up the dungeon quests.
