Which race fits me the most?

Hi guys!

I want to make a character to roleplay but the starting point is that should fit where I am from and I need the help of those who know a lot of lore.

So I am from Spain and I feel a little lost because in Spain there was loads of civilizations along the time (we are one of the most cultural diverse countries in Europe). *Brief explanation of history* First there were the iberians and celts (and a mix between them, the celtiberians), then we had greeks civilizations that settle and/or have comercial rutes with people from Iberia, then the phoenicians came (Carthago) and then Rome with the empire and started the punic wars here in the Iberian peninsula. After the Roman republic won we were ruled by the romans about 700 years and after that visigoths (germanic people where lot of surnames come from) came and start their kingdoms here along 250 years till the North African tribes invaded us and ruled us for 700 years, then we had the reconquista and the kingdom of Spain was born. As you can see we have a really big mix of civilizations but genetically the spaniards are the descendants of the Iberian/ Celts! So we didn't mix that much with other civilizations that came here although we took lot of culture.

As you can see, we have a really big cultural mix that it is confusing when I try to pick the correct race of the game for roleplay.

Between the playable races I can only identify Imperials(Rome), Redguards(North Africans), Bretons (celts), Nords(Germanic (visigoths)).

In the city where I live and was born, we had a predominant Ibero->Carthago->Roman->Muslim(till reconquista) dominance over the years.

In my opinion Imperials fits the most due to the language we speak (derived for latin, and for example I can understand what an italian say in the 70-80% of the times and they us too), the culture in general, we had an empire too, the chistianism that came into Spain from Rome and a ton of things that we heritage from Rome.

Then we have Redguards that in my opinion doesnt fit that much because of the tan, they are darker than us and we look like the average mediterranean-european but we also have amazing edifications and art that came from the time that North Africans had the control of the peninsula and also some words are arab (but 80% of our language comes from latin).

So lorewise what race of elder scrolls fits the most spanish people?

Thank you in advance and forgive my possible typo/gramatic errors! ^^

Wait what?! Why? I mean khajiit represent more asian cultures with their edification and styles. People from Spain doesn't have anything in common with Khajiits imo.

They just like Khajiit, I see them around the forums. I don’t know much about “sub”races but you can also look into Reachmen and Colovians. Since you identify most with Imperials, maybe moreso Colovian is something to look into alongside the ones you have listed. They’re not really their own race, more of a region of Cyrodiil, but since your intention is RP it may be something to note anyways.

Exactly, it is really difficult to link any specific race to spaniards but I think imperials fits the best in my case (also Ive italian ancestors so it is very likely I pick imperial)

They weren't answering your question seriously. They just said Khajiit because they themselves like Khajiit, not because they think you'd best fit as a Khajiit based on your description.
