These are some of the hairstyles I was thinking about that would be an awesome new edition to Elderscrolls. These hair styles will be perfect for kahjiit and elves.

Ever since I started playing, I've always wanted a couple of hair styles that were pony tails for men (girls too!) with different variations of bangs. The current long hair styles for men currently lack bangs, and the ones that do have bangs aren't "fluffy" enough for what I'm looking for. I really adore these hairs.

It's pretty easy to search the web for examples of interesting hairstyles with historic roots. One thing I noticed after picking out some of my favorites is there are a lot of variations of braids worked into these looks. I think any of these would be appropriate for ESO:
    c6r744cxu0i9.jpg

There are also several styles on NPCs to which players still do not have access. Please release these!

I agree with the previous comments about adding longer styles and more medium beards (even though I don't play males). I like the suggestion about reorganizing the appearance categories too.

Finally, please give us more character slots so we can really take advantage of all the new hairstyles you're going to add after reading this awesome thread. ;)

From all the suggestions I love these most! I want to see more hair decorations/jewelry. Women (and men) have always been sticking all kinds of fancy things into their hairs though history, in every culture. Also so many of the current hair styles look like they are glued to head, dirty and greasy, altough it seems to depend of the hair color. I want fluffy, full looking hairs. But not poofy like you've been in an air tunnel for an hour.

Sadly I don't think they are well done with much quality control. They both fits a bit wonky, and the braided tresses got such weird straight up high volume on top.

Also still no new facial hair, even though a lot of npcs sports new ones.

There's no cute hairstyles for female characters. They're all your typical over realistic western game ugliness where they refuse to stylize the look a bit because they're afraid their game will look like it's an anime game.
I don't like anime but who doesn't like anime hair styles, even if basic ones?
You can easily find a lot of good ones in Bulma, no matter which saga of the Dragonball. They're not crazy unrealistic styles and look good.
Probably all the women in DB have realistic hair styles but I could be wrong.
Even when western games try to make similar hair styles, they somehow fail to measure the proportions on a model and end up looking very silly. Sometimes too closely tight to the heads, sometimes too far apart. It cuts the amount of usable hairs to like a third.

    Me.

I wouldn't mind them in a game with anime or comic graphics, but they don't fit into a game with a more or less realistic art style. Style inconsistencies are awful to look at. I already find some hairstyles, mounts and pets they've added in recent years silly and not fitting into the overall world design.

Orcs need some orcy exclusive hair like khajiit and argonians have, the were some really good ones in Oblivion and morrowind. I'm sure they could take inspo from them!

Oddly enough, Orcs at the creation screen cannot be blonde. Plz fix (no joking).

I consider most hairstyles lore neutral, in that it doesn't take a lot of effort to fit them in somehow. I would like an option for short, spiky hair. For the record, that isn't anime hair - the punks were doing it concurrently.

I think the hairline is better than on many other hairs which make the toon looking like somebody with receding hair sometimes.

BTW, I also miss more facial hair. Such as that one for instance (the hair is also nice): https://www.themoviedb.org/t/p/w500/vD5MtCjHPHpmU9XNn74EPGMHT7o.jpg

Me for one, if I wanted to have anime-style hair I'd play FF 14.

Some hair styles in ESO look already out of place.

I echo others and say me. There are animes I like, but I can't think of any with the exception of very normal ones, which are close to some we already have, that would suit ESO.

No cute hairstyles for female characters? Have you tried find simple and normal ones, especially short ones, for male characters? Or facial hair for that matter.

I really really appreciate the amount of new hairstyles we've received in the past two years.
What makes things hard for me to enjoy those is that they are never been tested on all races and assigned male and female ingame models. What fits a male altmer to perfection suddenly doesn't work properly on a female redguard or an orc.

The Short Mussed Wave was sold in the crown store during 2021 and 2022 for 600 crowns (~ 5,50€) on mass even tho, it would hover like playmobil hair over every single female scalp ingame. A couple months afterwards, it got fixed. It doesn't hover anymore, but now every single female elf ingame suddenly has their hair texture also cover the backside of their ears.

      5o0mo0xjemsd.png

The 'Cutting Edge' hairstyle was released in 2022 Dark Chivalry crates and it leaves a white sploosh on the neck of your character if you happen to play and elf or mer. (No argonians or Khajiit). Like a leftover that was simply forgotten about during the texturing process. If your outfit doesn't happen to cover the backside of your character's neck, you simply had to endure it.

      11j5i13bqv4z.png

The Topknot Cascade was released with the ragebound crates and for some reason, the ear slider's of a character would decide wether or not the braids of the hair would be displayed correctly or bend unnaturally. This was 'fixed' during one of the last two patches. The braids only bend on a few models now, both male and female. Also, it shows huge holes in the texture on female orcs, allowing the player to actually look through the front side of the hairstyle and at some points through their skulls and whatever lies behind the character model.

      8lx8gn9sg4sb.png

I don't wish for more hairstyles at this point anymore. I wish for those I've spent money on to be fixed.

Please QA team, I beg of you!

Please stuff those holes in the 'Topknot Cascade' and run a razor blade over every elf's ears that wears 'Cutting Edge'.

I am glad we have got a couple more hairstyles this year, even if the quality could be better. I hope they will work on it. So thanks ZOS and I hope you will keep them coming!

I too wish that the hairstyles (also old clothes/costumes, even as a white drop - though this would be a different thread) would become available to players.

Here's some inspiration that could fill in the gaps in short male (but it could be for anyone) hair.

As to anime hair styles, I like some.. in their respective worlds. As much as I think Yugi's hair looks cool, I would hate to have something like that in ESO. xD

Edit: Oh, and please more facial hair too, of the "normal" kind. I understand that personalization items that has a character are more eye-catching, but I feel that many are too specific or extreme to use for your average adventurer.
