Actual Range of Dizzy Swing in PvP?

It seems like I get hit from 30’ away and through pillars. Ive pvp’ed awhile and an pretty quick to dodge roll directly through or away from DS spammers, but sometimes they connect from an amazingly unrealistic distance. Does this happen to other people? Is it just desync? Or is the listed range of the skill inaccurate?

    I think it's just desync. Also perhaps possible that the 7m is how close you need to be to activate the skill but once activated it will still connect from slightly further away. And I chalk this up to positional desync as well.

    I will say though, as someone with lots of experience using the skill as well as being hit by it, the length of cast is such that if someone rolls it too soon they will stand up and still get hit. So my advice is to try and wait just a little longer before dodging. Or try blocking them instead.

    Thanks @OBJnoob , this sounds like good advice. I agree that it’s most likely desync. It’s weird though, normally I don’t have too much trouble with dizzy, but ocassionally I’ll run into someone who just spams it like mad and relentlessly and wrecks me.

    They upped the range of all melee skills by two metres in Necrom patch, so that might explain why you've noticed it.

    In case you missed it in the patch notes all single-target melee skills have a 7 meter range now. But regardless of that fact this sort of thing has been happening to me for years. I sometimes have entire buildings between me and my pursuers. It's just a fact of life due to lag, relative internet speeds, and desync.

    They upped only 5 meters long attacks by 2 meters. 7 meters long ones remained unchanged.
