How Do You Play?

I have a ton of skills but can only use 5 at a time? I havent found a quick and easy way to switch to my 2nd weapon to get to the other slots.

There is a keybinding to switch weapons, if you don't like that one you can appoint a different key to it so you get access to those skills as well.

I play it by pressing key buttons on my keyboard.I also press buttons and move around my mouse. I sit on a chair while I do this.

Well, I mostly quest, and then I wait ages for a dungeon group because I'm dps...

Oh, wait, that's not what you're asking. ;)

I hit the tilde key to switch. Sometimes it takes a second, don't hit it twice or you'll switch back.

I think about which skills are most beneficial depending on the situation and I place those on my bar. For my weapon swap I rebound the key to be something easier for me to hit, so swapping for the extra skills is easy.

I bound it to my middle mouse button, it gets rid of free look or what ever it is, but I can switch super fast and I never used free look anyways.
You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.

As I don't use tab targeting, I bound the tab key to swap bars.

I've come to actually enjoy the limitations of the "five-at-a-time" approach to skill use. It really makes you sit back and think hard about how you want to approach fights—and once you can morph your skills, it gets even more interesting. Just as an example, after initially feeling that the Night Blade ability "Teleport Strike" was indispensable to me, I eventually realized that, while nifty, it was far less useful to my play style than "Mark Target." I now have one set of abilities in place for dealing with single targets, and another set for engaging multiple enemies (say, with dodge bonuses or damage mitigation, and some area or multi-target attacks). I've fared quite well with that approach so far.

Like a couple of others, I thought this was going to be a fun exchange of what we do in-game!

I haven't found any limitations using only 5 abilities at a time. More often than not, I've found that I usually only stick to 3 or 4 during any standard encounter, and the last is usually pretty situational.

I'm sure if I ever get to the point where I'm doing large-scale group content, I'll be using the weapon-swap ability to quickly shift between both of the layouts. But for now, 5 abilities is working just fine for my day-to-day playing.
The moment you call someone stupid, or try to display your opinion as "fact", you lose all credibility.

I use 4 abilities in an average battle, whether it'd be a single target or multiple enemies. Abilities 5 and ultimate are my 'oh-crap-i'm-gonna-die' buttons. I don't tend to switch between bars too often as my current build has both good survivability and enough dps but I use switching a lot when doing a group dungeon.

I have a summoner dual wielding DPS. He equips duplicate twin swords and keeps two spots in each set dedicated to his minions. The other three in set 1 are damage dealers and the three left in set 2 are AoE stun, stagger, and pin type of skills.

Then it's just binding the toggle to the [.] key and emulating that through Xpadder.

In case this was a serious question, it is required that your character be level 15 before you can set up a second hot bar the will allow you to switch back and forth with a single key stroke.

I'm using the 6 side button naga and I must say that was the best buy I could've made apart from the game itself ;) in my previous MMO 6 buttons would not have been enough at all cos the skills were plentiful compared to this 10+2.
But I use 5 out of the 6 mouse buttons for skills and one to swap weapons. And I do swap weapons at times quite often because one skill bar is fully for healing on my templar and the other skill bar is dps skills combined with a shiled and one heal. I can move efficiently on my keyboard while using skills on the mouse.

I shifted the arrow keys up to 2QWE and put the skills buttons down to XCV etc. So I can use my thumb to use my abilities. Caps lock is of course Sprint which i use my pinky to press, and i also put the Crouch button on Shift. Plus I use the Wheel button click on my mouse to switch Weapons

To the asker, after you reach lvl 10 you unlock weapon swapping. Go to you skills menu, click the 1/2 rotation thingy on the skills bar where you assign you skills and it should switch to a secondary bar for your secondary weapon.

I use the Naga 6-button mouse as well and am thoroughly pleased with it. Have button 6 mapped to my Ultimate ability.

One of the roller-buttons is Auto-Run, the other toggles Walk / Run.

Had an issue where the buttons stopped working now I have to manually re-map them but that's not really much of a bother.

Been using the same Logitech G15 keboard that's so old they don't keep up the legacy software for the display. Would dearly love to replace it but nothing I've seen looks as good or has all the same bells and whistles of my beloved, bedraggled, worn-down lovely.

Toggling between weapon sets only really comes in handy with my Caster / Healer Templar ( Orc War Shaman ). Occasionally on my Nightarrow when I get tired of kiting and just wanna get up close and eviscerate something with twinned daggers.
