Unable to get to Vinnus's Research quest in Blackwood

The item that starts this quest is inside a Portal of Immolation. Once you enter the portal there are 3 different islands it may start you on. You need the northwest island which will then take you to either the island to the east or the island to the south. The island to the south is the one with the quest starter.

The problem is it never goes to the island to the south. I literally spent the entire day trying to get to the quest starter but every time I got the correct starting island it took me east instead of south.

Please look into this.

After spending the entire day yesterday trying to get this quest starter I made it to the right island on my first attempt today.

I don't know if this was a bug or if I was just incredibly unlucky, but thankfully I found it today.

Getting there is purely dependent on RNG, and you have to win twice: enter on the right island and get the portal to send you to the correct destination. You cannot even port to another player who has gotten to the island without running into that same RNG gauntlet. It took me multiple days to get back there with a friend after I happened to find that quest starter.

Putting a quest and a lorebook behind all that was by far the most frustrating part of Blackwood (as DLC) for me. I don't see any reason to aggravate players who want to do all the quests and/or collect all the lorebooks like that.

There is really no reason for making this so difficult. It's not like it's an achievement that gives a great reward, or an important part of a long quest chain. It's an "I found this item next to a body so I'm returning it to you" "Thank you, here is a small reward" quest.

This is still going on. I am trying to get this quest on my new character but after 2 days of doing portal after portal, I do get the correct starting island almost every time, but it never takes me on to the island that has the quest.

It should not take days of continuously going in portals to get this quest. Please fix this.
