Whenever they engaged me, I beat them.
That is a pain, but I've encountered a brand new problem with the herald seekers today - some of their paths are set across antiquity dig sites. I was trying to dig something out today and was constantly pulled out of the antiquity screen by a seeker that would attack and kill me each time it passed. I must have died 10 times before I managed to finish that dig...

Is it really a minor inconvenience when so many people complain these annoying seekers are disrupting their activities? Yesterday my group was farming ichors and we stumbled upon a hapless player who just wanted to dig up an antiquity. The fellow was forced to join the fight against two seekers before being able to resume their activity in peace. Dragging innocent bystanders into a fight against their will is hardly a very sensible way to bring people together to help new players.

I had this as well while doing antiquities. It is a 2 min interruption. Seems overdramatic. I like it. Gives the zone some sense of not being to peaceful but i guess everything which does disrupt gameplay in any minor form is too much already. [snip]

It's minor for you, not for the others who can't go about their business because they're dragged into combat, often with the boss beyond their light of sight. It's good that you like it, but please respect those who don't.XoXJulietteXoX wrote: »Carcamongus wrote: »Lazarus_Rising wrote: »Is that minor inconvenience really worth a post? I'm sorry, I don't understand what that has to do with my post.

I am not fighting anything, I am minding my own business, fishing/traveling from wayshrine to wayshrine and being forced into a fight that is miles away or where I can't even see where the fight is going on at. Why the condescending comment that adds NOTHING to the discussion? We need ZoS to fix the radius on these silly ads, which is why I made this post. If you want more people to help lower level newbies, then those newer players need to join guilds and make friends, the same way the rest of us have done all these years, not force us to fight someone else's problems.
Need to add, the combat knocks you out of queue for ToT, dungeons, battlegrounds, Cyro, etc.
