Which Role do you think is more enjoyable to play with the Arcanist?

In the beginning when the Arcanist was revealed to be heavily Herma Mora themed, I decided I wasn't going to make one. Then after Necrom launch, I changed my mind in the interest of curiosity, and I'm starting to find some fun with it. (mainly the Green Beam, blasting everything). But I'd like insight from everyone who's had hands on with the Class for weeks, mainly you on PC, what Role feels the best when playing it. Mine is still in the 20s at the moment and initially I defaulted to DD, but another Healer is sounding pretty good too though.

Note: I'm never going to use Abyssal Impact. Tentacles are a no for me.

So I play DPS, I'm bad at every other role. I like Arcanist DPS; it's pretty fine. It's not as good as most other classes. Most people will say it's really good, but that's only from the Trial dummy. Since the beam is so easy to interrupt in PVE, your DPS is much lower than what is shown on the dummy in most boss fights, especially if you're a close-range dual wield DPS like most builds are. You'd probably do more damage with a ranged build...

But without Abyssal Impact, the class will lose a bit of oomph. Its DPS is already kinda low. It looks high on paper, but it's not in practical combat. In fact, I do better DPS on my Templar, which though it has a minor buff this patch is still very weak in PVE. Of course I don't have the Ur Mage amulet yet, been having trouble getting the last lead, and my damage should get a bit of a boost from that, but I can't see it doing much more than my templar. I'd say the class can be used as a DPS, and you'd be fine. But my wife says the tanking and healing kit of the class is tops, and will probably be nerfed with how good it is.

    This is PvE mind you.

    Stamina, Bosmer
Front Bar: One-hand and shield, Cephaliarch's Flail, Pragmatic Fatecarver, Escalating Runeblades, Recuperation Treatise,
    Reconstructive Domain, and Flawless Dawnbreaker.
Back Bar: Bow, Arrow Barrage, Bombard, Silver Shards, Impervious Runeward, Chakram of Destiny, and The Languid Eye.

    Magicka, Altmer
Front Bar: Dual-wield swords, Cephaliarch's Flail, Exhausting Fatecarver, Escalating Runeblades, Recuperation Treatise, Reconstructive Domain, and whatever ultimate.
Back Bar: Lightning Staff, Rune of Displacement, Unstable Wall, Force Pulse, Impervious Runeward, Evolving Runemend, and The Tide King's Gaze.

I start with Recuperation Treatise, spam Escalating Runeblades, use Tentacle Slap for third Crux or quick execute and immobilize targets before I hit them with the beam so they aren't running towards me to interrupt. Back bar for big groups to keep them corralled in a big dog pile. Stamina focuses more on shielding myself, Magicka focuses on longer beam smack.

    Make a poll for this?

Anything but dpa looks fun. I wanted to make a dps but DPS skills just too much of same green for more and animations besides beam feel too short. The sounds are also less impactful. I rather play warden or Necro as dps personally.
