Since it's been said to be coming

My personal hope is some love to sorc tanking

I would love to see a sorc bring a group empower buff personally. Pet builds seem to go along good with heavy attack build, so I think it just makes sense.

A class-based Major Vulnerability source would be nice, but I fear that would make the Oakensorc even more omnipresent

I would like to see the Critical Chance passive hybridized and given to Nightblade (which makes way more sense thematically) and to have an entirely new group buff available for Sorcerers.

Necromancer has class-based Major Vulnerability. Their group utility has been gutted since the advent of like Turning Tide and such giving cheap access to high uptime on the debuff.

Yeah, I thought about that as well. Don't want to turn this into a "save necros" thread, as that class needs a major rework. But if you were to give sorcs Major Vulnerability, as a class skill and not an ultimate like the necro, that could make for some very interesting tank builds. But I could not imagine the justifiable howls from PVP, and even PVE raid groups, if you did that.

The other option I would like is a better CC skill. Restraining Prison is okay, but I prefer the CC's from necro, DK, and even nightblades

Necro ultimate goes on 12 people as of necrom patch. Unlike necromancers there's no cool down

Interesting. I'm on console, so no Necrom yet.

If anything I think negate magic needs something like minor evasion as sorc has weakest defensive ultimate in game

Hoping they add something more to critical surge as it only heals every 3 secs

You mean Power Surge? If so, then I definitely agree!

They need to either drop the cooldown to 2 seconds or else append a buff to those that you heal, like maybe 6 seconds of Minor Vitality or something.

It doesn't need to be a massive change. They just need Minor Prophecy to stack with Minor Savagery, so that Sorc's unique group buff is not negated by any Nightblade.

I would like to see the major berserk applied automatically upon atronach cast, for up to 12 group member within 28 meters for 10 seconds, and the synergy just gives anyone who hits it a small burst of free damage, or maybe extend the duration of major berserk for like 2 seconds or something.

make mag sorc the highest damage of any class because that's just normal in fantasy.

How about both morphs if I am dreaming here

I disagree. Everquest, dnd, other fantasy genre games all do it right. Wizards are strongest but easy to kill. In eso I feel like rogues with medium armor are strongest. Every stupid set that does damage is medium. And medium is for rogues not wizards.

It's been a while since I played EverQuest or WoW but I did play them both for several years. I think ESO is pretty similar to both when it comes to the strength and playstyle of sorcs and "rogues."

One goes around invisible and does WAY too much damage by being a backstabber (guess which,) and one blinks around and protects themselves with shields... I mean blocks of ice... I mean shields.

The main difference, to me, is that this game offers more ways for opponents to be fast. And abilities aren't on cooldowns so you can do what you need to do over and over again.

And again, I haven't played those games in years so I'm sure the meta has shifted several times, but I don't recall mages being best. I recall the same thing as ESO to be honest. Paladins and Deathknights walking around super tanky and doing incredible damage.
