I still dream...

I still would love to see ZOS release an option to solo all Dungeons, perhaps with no monster helmets and harder probability of loot drops. Just to give PvE solo players a chance to farm some armor sets or simply have the satisfaction to finish all ESO Dungeons by themselves.

It's not a popular idea, but honestly I think it would be fun to consider this option. The older Dungeons are mostly "soloable" but recent ones and the ones with "stuck one player" mechanics are impossible for most players except (perhaps) the endgame-hardcore ones.

Anyway, just giving my suggestion. ESO is getting older and older, and someday it will be very hard to find enough players interested to create a group to play "forgotten" Dungeons in the dusty corners of Tamriel...

And for me, I'm a solo player and hate Dungeon Finder. I'd prefer to have the possibility to play the Dungeons just by myself.

Taking the Monster helms out of the loot pool would nullify the reason I would want to solo a vet dungeon.

I'd just like something like this so then the quests and whatever story is in the dungeons can be enjoyed and actually listened to

Yes for the stories it would be good. Even in a slow group, one person's slow is another person's fast.

I'd be against dungeon set pieces as a reward though, overland set pieces would be fine.

Even without rewards, except for EXP and gold, it would be a nice feature and one I'd really love to see.

Yes for just the story. It's impossible to listen to the dialogue in a group. I did this for all dungeons I could solo just to listen to the dialogue. The ones I can't solo I still wonder about their story until now

There is only a handful of dungeons that currently can't be soloed because of mechanics. Some take a bit of out of box thinking, but especially with a well set up companion the vast majority is very much doable.
I certainly wouldn't mind if all of them were soloable though. But that's purely mechanics, I don't feel they should be made easier. That way the rewards can stay the same as well.

I'd definitely support this, as I've always advocated for options, which allow players of various playstyles and skill level to experience as much of the game as possible while having fun (looking at you, optional veteran overland).

I really don't care about the rewards tho. If story mode dungeons grant the same loot as vet versions, nothing at all or something between, makes no difference to me.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

I've tried to solo most dungeons and here're the ones where you get stymied. Mostly, these are mechanics where you get pinned or transformed. Some can be escaped using Precognition, a morph of the Psijic Ultimate.

        Base Game:
        • Blackheart Haven: Technically soloable with the right build. You have about 20 seconds before Blackheart does the transformation mechanic, but once it starts, he'll target you repeatedly. You have maybe 5 seconds in between transformations. Apparently this can be soloed by werewolves, who are immune to the transformation effect.
        • Crypt of Hearts II: Ruzozuzalpamaz will constantly wrap you up in webs. Probably soloable if you have pets or a companion who can continue to hurt her.
        • Direfrost Keep: You need a second person to stand on the pressure plate to proceed.
        • Fungal Grotto II: Gamyne Bandu pins you with her Torture Session mechanic. I believe that this actually may not kill you on normal difficulty, but since you're the only target, you'll probably die anyway. You can escape this pin with Precognition. I didn't bother trying to get farther using Precognition, but I feel like the Spawn of Mephala would just reset every time you get sent into the cave.
        • Wayrest Sewers II: Malubeth pins you and this one kills you. Possibly escapable with Precognition?

        DLC:
        • Imperial City Prison: Ibomez the Flesh Sculptor has an inescapable pin (probably can escape using Precognition). You also need a second person to pull the levers to progress.
        • Cradle of Shadows: Never tried, but Dranos Velador has an inescapable pin (may be able to escape with Precognition).
        • Ruins of Mazzatun: I tried in CP 1.0 and Chudan's Mucous Spray did such high damage that I don't know how you'd survive; possibly no longer lethal in CP 2.0? Na-Kesh's Hist Hallucinations trigger endlessly if you're the only target so pretty much impossible.
        • Fang Lair: You can actually survive Death Grip by burning down the Senche, then killing the rest before it comes back. Ulfnor hits like a train and Sabina's pull would kill you (unless it's escapable with Precognition).
        • March of Sacrifices: The Silence effect on the Wyresses makes this one impossible to solo with a magicka character (companion abilities are just completely shut off when they're Silenced).
        • Moon Hunter Keep: Never tried to solo; I feel like the stranglers would pose a problem but I don't know for sure, since I recall they've been changed.
        • Depths of Malatar: Never tried to solo.
        • Frostvault: Never tried to solo.
        • Moongrave Fane: Mechanically intense. Risen Ruins and Nisaazda have attacks that fire a shot at each group member, but since you're the only target, you eat all four and probably die instantly, not to mention having to sacrifice half your health constantly to use the synergies. Probably practically impossible to solo.
        • Icereach: Never tried to solo.
        • Unhallowed Grave: Never tried to solo.
        • Castle Thorn: Never tried to solo.
        • Stonegarden: Never tried to solo.
        • Black Drake Villa: Never tried to solo.
        • The Cauldron: Never tried to solo.
        • The Dread Cellar: Practically impossible once you reach Cyronin. When I tried it, he ignored companion taunt and his heavies instantly kill you, so you have little opportunity to deal damage. Soulstorm kills you and every single one targets you, so it's impossible to survive--you can't have enough stamina to block or roll every one.
        • Red Petal Bastion: Rogerain's goat transformation has the same problem Blackheart's does--it happens endlessly, so you really can't damage him.
        • Earthen Root Enclave: Soloable with a caveat. To survive Devyric's lightning spray, you need a companion to taunt him. They'll die, so you'll then need to resurrect them every time you do it.
        • Scrivener's Hall: Friend attempted to solo it and reported that the incoming damage during the bosses was too high to survive.

So, of 52 dungeons: 17 can't be soloed, 6 are ambiguous. So that's about half that can't be done solo, which is a bit disappointing.

I'd like it if the dungeon were the same difficulty and with the same drops, but the mechanics and layout were adjusted for only one player (ex. transformations have a cooldown, no unbreakable pins).

I also wouldn't care about the rewards in this solo mode. I'djust want to see the story and lore without being rushed. I'll run it vet in groups if I want better rewards.
