Continuing Cadwell's Gold Main quest that was left out pre Tamriel One

Hi, so i am a returning player after quitting ESO in 2015 ( before it became One Tamriel )

So apparently i reached Cadwell's Gold main quest last time i played, and the quest is to experience DC content, and the way i remember it was it used to be VR ranked content.

So now that i have returned, i can't really remember how to get to the DC area via his portal, i tried to show on map, it it says cant be allowed.

So do i just travel to all the DC area and complete the main story quest of said area and i will automatically complete his quest? or do i have to actually visit DC area via his portal?

Just fast travel to stros m'kai and start the zone quest there. After that you should be fine if you follow the story.

Alternative you can do any zone out of order, if you wish to do so.

Going to DC area using Cadwell's portal isn't needed anymore. Indeed you can finish all the zones way before you get the quest to do so nowadays.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

You use his portal by going to the harborage in your starting zone. But as said above, it's not necessary

There is a Story Tracker in the Journal that helps picking up the quest train again.

Also, I think Caldwell will still send you to where you need to start.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

PakKat "Everything was going well, until I died"
Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

Yes the journal is still there, it did ask me to complete the DC zones ( which i get it )

It was just that as i remember it i needed to travel via portal to DC area, and i realized that after One Tamriel, you don't need that anymore as now it's accessible without being instanced
