Level new character with two armory slots

I am considering creating a new character and assigning two armory slots...possibly one for magicka and one for stamina builds.

If I do so I assume levelling and skill points will accrue on both irrespective of which one is loaded whilst reaching level 50?

As I see it the advantages are:-

New companions can be levelled against one character.
All the usual grinding stuff will mostly only need to be done once.
In particular, as a console player, the very time consuming Antiquities levelling to get keen eye treasure chests...already done this on a number of characters and not much fun to be had!

Disadvantages:-

Dailies etc only available once.
Things like costumes are character rather than slot.
Annoyingly equipped gear on the slot not loaded is in inventory...wish this would change to make multiple slots worthwhile.

Sure I am missing several 'for and against' things so any comments would be much appreciated.

Costumes change with the armory slot. I noticed it this week when updating my slots with the latest CP allocations: a costume I'd switched to on 1 slot wasn't present on the other.

That's good to know. I'll try it out. Thanks for the info.

    Greetings,

After review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic (Players Helping Players, as the OP is requesting feedback from other players regarding their new character).

    Thank you for your understanding.

There are a lot of cool things with Armories, I usually have to buy a couple extras. First, they allow you to have different CP setups for different builds. I always have to have a STEALTH armory for all the stealth CP that I don't need on a regular DPS build. It also allows you to change your mundus, and I use different mundus depending on the build I'm running. It also saves your QUICKSLOTS, your TITLE, and also your OUTFIT.

So all in all, they are very useful IMO, although I'd highly recommend buying the Armory Assistant so you can change your build in the field. ;)

Yes, I use the Armory Assistant & consider it a worthwhile investment if using armory slots for several characters.

I have tested this on one of my characters but found that whichever costume I use on one slot then appears on the other.

I also found if I add a costume to one slot it then appears on the other, even if that slot previously had no costume added.

Would be interested in any feedback on this.

I don't believe it saves your COSTUME, but it saves Outfits, there is a difference.

Thanks...that is in line with my findings too. Will look forward to levelling Arcanist & will try 2 slots and see how it goes!

Dont want to point out the obvious, but the armory is best used as "free respec", especially when levelling up.🤓

First thing you do when out of the tutorial level, you go to an armory station and save a "Zero" build. No allocated Champion points, Attribute point or Skill points.🤯

This way you only need one slot for everything. And can spare yourself a ton of gold and crowns. 😎
If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.
