Mora's Whispers Leads

AlistairRZ
I am trying to get any leads for four days. And i got nothing so far. I farmed atoll of immolation south side for watchers and east side for watchlings. Tried Cauldron dungeon. Tried deadlands overland whatcers. Torn clothes and vile manse chests. Is this intended to be so hard or is something wrong about drop rates?

I've seen several complaints about sclerotic tentacles drop rate. I had to farm Vile Manse for about 4 days before the bloody lead dropped. The final one I need has a single chance to drop from a boss in Imperial City Prison, so getting that one won't be that fun. I got blood oculus and seeker sinew by accident.

The problem with the tentacles, blood oculus and twitching eyeball is that they drop from creatures that aren't plentiful. For the first two, you also have competition with other players. All in all, it's not a very fun farm, though it can't be worse than looking for psijic portals in Southern Elsweyr (for another mythic).

Moras whispers is a huge nightmare to farm, worst out of all of them by far even when facing a low population of other players. For me, there was 1-2 hrs farming for the chests in vile manse and watchers in the immolation public portal, and cloth nodes in Deadlands. They’re not even the worst of it, I used some skill points to easily spot cloth nodes and chests and pop locks.

The watchings were the true nightmare. The chances of picking up anything from them after they die is minuscule, and then from all the looted corpses it seemed like 1% or less chance to pick up the lead. I know I killed a couple thousand watchlings over several hours (while streaming several episodes in another window over the course of days) using a trick to get them to respawn fast. They used to bug out and respawn instantly when there are lots of other players around, or so I hear, but there wasn’t anyone else around helping as I was trying to get the lead.

In the island at top left of the map there are two sets of xyvkin on each side of the main walkway, walk up and kill all but one of them, and the watchings that spawn, then walk across the area to the other side and repeat the process. As long as you don’t kill one daedra, they will go back into position after you retreat far enough and you can respawn the watchings by going back near them again from one side to the next killing two at a time. Good luck

I spent weeks farming the watchling lead and got nothing. I finally decided I didn't need this mythic that much and gave up.

    I don't regret it.

What I do regret is the Bal Foyen kilt lead. I think I got and let expire so many of that lead before I really learned to scry my chance of getting it now is almost zero. I've farmed that for a couple of months before I stopped. I still haven't given up on that one entirely although I'm no longer focused on it.

the worst lead of this mythic to get for me was the watchlings, because they only drop loot like 1/10 times

i probably had to kill close to 1000 watchlings to get that drop

I have run ICP more than 40 times now without dropping the Twitching Eyeball lead. It's been months. it's become a joke with my friends that we run ICP daily. I have only seen the lead drop for someone else once. Why do they make the drop rate so awful? Why can't/won't they help with it?

I felt this lead is worse than the watchlings lead. ICP is a long slog of a dungeon with the Watcher boss as the 3rd boss, so you have to go at least halfway through.

The dungeon and world boss leads are unnecessarily hard to get. Not the part about killing the bosses, but the drop rate and the time it takes to actually obtain the lead. At least with the watchlings you could camp out at the end of the Atoll and they respawn in that stretch from the door to the end boss.

I am just going to add this here: The "Bloodshot Oculus" lead, from Watchers, CAN drop from the Watchers in Gorne, Telvanni Peninsula Public Dungeon. I just found it there.

And thus, it probably can drop from other Watchers in the rest of the Telvanni Peninsula, and in Apocrypha.

I would also guess that the lead from Watchlings can also probably drop in the Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha areas.

I do not know whether there are any Watchers or Watchlings that these two leads *cannot* drop from, because it is difficult to prove a negative.
