Would you prefer a solo random daily dungeon?

Since the main problem of random daily group dungeon is that it contains other players, who are usually asocial, why not fix the root of the problem? Same rewards, easier bosses, and no other players...

I would enjoy solo random dungeon mode.

    I fully support your idea.
Players who aren't in a guild and don't have much friends to play with like me will finally be able to do stuff without being in a group and without the toxicity. 👍

Also will be able to do as many dungeons as I want without endlessly waiting in queue.

These solo mini dungeons will be awesome and I hope it gets added into the game.

Topic obviously meaning daily exp bonus, so no. You're getting the bonus for helping others out, even if placed in a group with no one to help as you're still a potential replacement next time.

More challenging solo stuff on the other hand, maybe tied with great amount of exp also (daily or not), sure.

But majority wants just the reward, without helping others.

I wouldn't use it myself, as I like to do them in groups. But I think it's the best solution for people which are struggling with the current system.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

As much as I would rather run dungeons solo, I don't agree with the 'same rewards, easier bosses'. It goes in hand with wanting solo story mode for dungeons. I would love to run that but I wouldn't want to get the same rewards as those who put in the work for group mechanics.

NVM, missed the easier bosses bit.

I think a solo random would be interesting. But the difficulty level should be the same as is now.

    Direfrost is soloable.

But, I also agree, as there are certainly unsoloable ones, like Imperial City Prison and Wayrest 2.

Yes I'd prefer solo random delves, especially as a daily endeavor sometimes.

It is, plenty of guides online, even on the forums on how to do it. You don't use the plates at all.

I see where the request is coming from, but I can't find that I feel this is the right solution.

Delves and the like you dont need to queue for (I know, not totally solo, but there's so many). You get daily quests from Undaunted, Mages, Fighters, to go do a random one of those, or public dungeon. You can solo a lot of normal dungeons - you just don't get the rewards.

The XP bonus is for helping to form groups, not for doing an instance. Honestly I don't find 'most' players are toxic - I feel we notice the toxic ones. I also feel that there are really, really good guilds around that are so little pressure and will do story mode runs, relaxed runs, and you can be as active or inactive as you like.

Someone joined our guild and couldn't believe there wasn't an X amount donation, or that you didnt need to notify if you were popping off on holiday (!), or that you dont have to sell x amount per week.... it's just a nice guild for nice people to do stuff and chat. So maybe if you've been burned by guild experience, look again at some of the less noisy ones :)

There's also solo trials..... gah I feel the request, but I just am not feeling that this is the right solution. I think if something like this were to happen, it should have an evolved concept beyond just 'the solo version of RND'

ranged attack the troll through the door to get it in range of gap closer, use gap closer which pulls you through the door, then you can do the same thing to get to the boss and then you open the levers on the way out, like they said, no plates needed lol

ICP i think is possible to solo, but you might have to be a NB with shadow image to get between the levers fast enough (maybe arcanist portal could work too), but i havent tried, i also heard there was another way to do it similar to the direfrost gimmick where you can use a gap closer to get through the door

the only one which may be truly unsoloable right now is wayrest 2, because the lockdown mechanic cannot be broken out of using the precognition ult

there are also other dlc dungeons which have mechanics that make them annoying to solo as well such as red petal bastion first boss, you will have to prepare to be a goat 90% of the fight and be able to stay alive while in goat form

Red Petal Goat form is super annoying solo.

The one I found out how to solo recently was using Precog on the ghost pin mechanic in Fang Lair. The mechanic still treats you as "pinned" but you end up able to use all your skills and move away from the ghost. You just keep getting slightly dragged and are under the ground for the entire mechanic.

The XP and transmutes are a reward for helping other players get fills. They are not a glorified daily login reward. Maybe the other players just want to see the dungeon, or they want the skill point on an alt, or they want to farm certain gear. If the popular rewards from the group finder no longer required a group, the queues would be nearly empty and players using the group finder to actually find a group would struggle.

Exactly what I was going to say.

It's a reward for helping others.

Without it, good luck ever doing some dungeons for gear, of you don't have mates online.

Normal Dungeons are too easy to solo to deservingly be called "group content". A 4 player dungeon should mathematically require multiple people in order to complete on any level.
