Anyone else bummed by ESO's showing at XBOX games showcase?

Idk why but I was expecting something cool about later this year or even a super rare sneak peak at next year or something. Didnt expect them to just do a release trailer for Necrom on console lol. Could be just me!

ZOS runs on their own schedule. They show the current promotional information at whatever special event comes along. What we get is a new trailer containing information we already know.

I didn't watch it either, but I'm not surprised they didn't tell us what would be happening in future before the next Chapter has even launched on consoles. That's not just "super rare" it's never happened. They tell us what's coming next and maybe there will be hints buried in the story about where in Tamriel the next release will be sent, but that's it.

Kind of makes sense. People that play on Xbox is the target audience and Necrom is set to release on Xbox. You want to hype that demographic and maybe reach some people that might not have ESO yet.

A new content dump is big news even if the content has been released prior on other platforms.

I personally wasn't expecting anything that would cater to an audience as myself who is already playing ESO. Necrom launched barely a week ago. It makes sense they want to target returning or new potential players.
I don't mind though. Besides we usually get hints buried during the stories or events during the year. I like the speculation that comes with this kind of hinting and the hunting for clues that comes with it.
The only potential thing I was slightly disappointed about was not hearing much about TES:VI.

But Starfield looks awesome. I only saw the tail end off the stream but from what I did see looked petty amazing.

@Jamie_Aubrey It isn't E3. It was the Xbox Games Showcase. Most companies makes these kind of showcases themselves nowadays to show coming games nowadays, and make them purely streams.

And yes, they showed a new trailer for Necrom. Which is a bit odd since it has already been released on PC and already have a trailer.

The June showcase, whether E3 or on its own, has pretty always just shown an ESO trailer and nothing else as they are trying to drag new players in with the new chapter content.

Necrom hasn't been released yet for Xbox, so of course they mentioned it.

I missed the stream, but my main reason for tuning in would have been to see about Starfield, not to hope for teasers about future ESO content-- which, as far as I know, has always been given at QuakeCon, which should be held Pretty Soon Now.

ZOS always shows content that's already out at these events and that's what they did this year so it was what I expected so no disappointment.

Being a PC player, I was solely there for news about Starfield. (Which looks great, can't wait for September!)

With Necrom being released already (still, PC here), and everything else regarding ESO usually announced a lot later in the year I wasn't even expecting to see ESO there, but then I remembered that the console launch is still to come, so showing the trailer to remind (XBox-)people of it makes sense.
But I had no ESO related expectations with this one, so I wasn't disappointed, either.
What I did register, however, was how well Necrom with all those shrill colours and bizarre Lovecraft-meets-Giger vibes fits between many of those flashy console games, and how far it is from the Elder Scrolls I'm used to since Morrowind...
