Hello, General Discussion users. As you can see, my name is TheGamerSeal (but you can call me Caleb or Cal for short). I've decided to start a series, of a sort, for bug reports and feedback that I've gathered from my experiences in The Elder Scrolls Online. I'm aware there's a dedicated forum for reporting bugs, but as this series contains
both bug reports
and feedback, I thought it more appropriate to leave it here, in General Discussion. Each "issue" of this series will consist of five topics which I'll briefly describe, and each will be numbered for relevant discussion; if you want to leave a comment, consider prefacing it with its number in the list - for example: "About number three..." and so on.
Good lord, I use a lot of sumptuous words. Anyway...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~1. Daily Crafting Rewards, Missing Materials (Bug Report)
Over the past several months, I've been keeping track of the number of crafting reward crates I earn each day. Per character, one can earn eleven crates. Seven of those crates are from each crafting branch, with the remaining four being a small collection of materials included in the Blacksmithing, Clothing, Jewelry, and Woodworking boxes for the respective crafting branch. While this isn't exactly game-breaking, it can still be annoying to miss out on part of the daily reward.
EDIT: I seem to have forgotten to mention that the bug here is that, occasionally, one or two of the four material crates will not be included in the rewards.
2. Unresponsive Container and Corpse Looting (Bug Report)
Since the release of Necrom, I've noticed occasional occurrences where lootable containers and corpses can not be actually be looted. There is a workaround to this: by distancing yourself from the bugged object, you can assumedly "reset" the object similar to how collecting multiple survey reports for a single location works; this isn't always possible, such as when you are in tight spaces such as corridors where you can't maneuver far enough. Across Tamriel, there are at least a dozen or two encounters, specifically with objects containing valuable loot, that can't be looted due to the aforementioned condition.
3. Suni the Khajiit, Public Nudist? (Bug Report, Maybe?)
Now, I'm not exactly the
foremost expert on Khajiiti culture or social practices, but me being a Breton, I find it odd that Suni, a Khajiit found near the stairs leading into Senchal from its docks, just past the
"DID YOU HEARRR..." conversation about robed strangers and ship chartering, is currently enjoying the tropical air in her skivvies. Now I'm no prude, but if she thinks she's having one of those dreams where you're naked in public, it's only common courtesy to inform her that she is not, in fact, dreaming.
4. Tribute NPCs, Slower than Molasses (Feedback)
If any of you do Kishka's "Cards Across the Continent" daily quest, I'm sure you can relate. The simple fact of the matter is that, especially in the case of the "expert" NPCs, these characters play their cards as if they're genuinely unsure of each and every single action they take - it's like that one guy who plays chess sitting there with his chin in his hand, who reaches for a piece, hesitates, then resumes his thoughtful position... on repeat... while his opponent sits there slowly descending into silent madness.
(
I mean, come on! It's a card that gives you a single golden coin! What could you possibly be thinking about?)
5. Healer about Town? TO ARMS!!! (Bug Report)
This probably only bothers the people who roleplay anywhere from casual to "Tamriel is my real life". I'm talking about those Regeneration spammers who run around populated areas, casting away, which has the effect of forcing every player caught in the ability's radius to draw their weapons and prepare for battle. This tends to be most annoying in situations where you're sitting around, just enjoying the atmosphere, or doing literally any action that would not require a weapon in any way, shape, or form.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And that's "Issue #1" in my bug reports and feedback series. I look forward to the discussion!
Note for Moderator
I'm aware that 80% of this post consists of bug reports, but that's simply the first five items on the list I've been keeping. Future issues in this series, if any, can and most likely will include more feedback than bug reports on occasion.
