Can we get a way to show off our achievement points?

I know we can show off achievements with titles/skins/mounts/etc. But there are plenty of achievements that require a lot of time and they only offer achievement points, which at the moment are kinda useless. So why grind for them? I think it would be cool if we could have some way to show them/use them. Let's say you got 38.430, you could get "38k" next to your name. Or different name colors based on achievement point milestones. I'm not asking for something crazy that will get people mad that they HAVE TO GRIND to get some collectible, but still, it would be nice to have a use for these achievement points we keep getting.

To be honest. It would just be another feature I would be turning off.

The only ones worth showing off are the ones with mounts / skins attached. They show themselves off.

Then they get neutered as ZOS releases a similar version of it on the crown store.

    Definitely against this.

The behaviour of some people is bad enough as it is now only with titles etc. in the game as well as here in the forums. Just think about all the "nerf this so I can achieve too" threads around or the problem we already have with PvE endgame, where everyone wants to "participate" (at least if we are talking about titles and mounts, not so much if we talk about mechanics).

I'd rather want to see a "devaluation" of existing titles by inventing additional trifectas in normal mode which reward the same things as the already existing achievements do.

"Showing off", while of course legitimate, is nothing the developers should support because it only feeds envy in others and in general isn't healthy for the game and the community.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

Don't think it's necessary tbh, it's more of a personal progress bar than anything. If I remember correctly the only way of showing points off is applying to guilds, didn't done that in a while so my memory can be dim on that one.

The only "cosmetic" way I can personally see is disabling API's for custom titles and colours and making colouring a cosmetic feature from achievement points count. Not sure if I'd be even using it personally even as achievement hunter or would pay any attention to it, but that what's comes to mind.

The idea behind this was that you can only have 1 mount, 1 title, and 1 skin active at the time... to me the idea of having a point count would be nice since that way i can see the people who completed all the challenges in the game and the people who are on their way to get there. it would be a social thing, a conversation opener for people who share the same passion about going the extra mile on achievements.

And even if some achievements are simple, it's still a grind to complete them (ex: crime pays, lightbringer, trophy achievements, etc.)

my opinion was remove the points for hardest achievments like trial trifctas or whatever, and yes a good idea to grant a seperate reward for those one which does not devaluate them. and yes maybe even new titles and a little something to show them off while making the overall achievment point completion process look less miserable and daunting task. hehe i dont want to expect other people not to die in a dungeon for my personal acheivement points lol.

That's why i wanted something simple, not something like a title that will make people get mad when they can't get it. But i see people don't agree with me here, and that's ok. I do enjoy trying to get more and more achievements, and it would make it even more enjoyable to me if let's say i knew next to my name soon will be 39k instead of 38k.

It is an advantage to be underestimated by your opponents, if they have already decided on battle.

It is an advantage to be overestimated, if they have not.

No thank you. If it's added as completely optional with a toggle, fine, otherwise not interested.

My other MMO lets players see each other's achievement points and it's only ever used as (another) way to arbitrarily judge people. Some groups and guilds require a certain number of points to join. They don't actually care what you've done, they could all be from the easiest achievements in the game but as long as it's a big number they think they're doing a good job excluding new or bad players.

Other than the possibility of that happening here too I don't mind the idea, because I think it's completely pointless and meaningless. I wouldn't object to a small icon next to someone's name showing their score, especially since if it's not possible to disable it within the game's settings someone will quickly bring out an addon to do it.

hmm im not sure now though, maybe its good from the reverse perspective too like if your grouped with a 3000cp player with under 5k (just example) points you would know your have a good cp in group with not much experience on the whole...or 600cp(just example) with lots of acheivment points you would know is well travelled through eso, so can see how maybe a nice thing too that some would like to see thier achievment scores to be shown

Agreed/ The toggle would need to cover my not seeing other players' achievement points as well as mine being concealed. I have no more interest in theirs than they have in mine, it would just be unnecessary clutter and intrusion as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not entirely clear from the OPs posts here whether he's more interested in seeing what others have done, or showing off what he's done. Either way it's not a particularly worthwhile move for the game in my opinion.

It's a number that's almost entirely meaningless, I'm not sure there's a good reason to give it prominence.

i'd like an achievement codpiece that would fit over my toon's armor and protrude proportional to my achievement points level. this seems most in line with the op's intentions and would be a fun new cosmetic.

I agree. Providing it was obtained in the Crown Store for a minimum of at least 50,000 crowns I reckon ZOS would make a lot of revenue and it would be fascinating to see which players were wearing it  !

I thought people should be ashamed of their achievement points, but it seems that some actually want to show others how much time they wasted on activities that not many people care about.

There should be titles (not character cosmetics) for certain numbers of achievement points.

    "Achiever"
    "High Achiever"
    "Almighty Achiever"
    etc

I don't care much about achievements or completionism in ESO, but this seems like a good reward for people who are really into it.

To be honest, it would be cool if every achivement points milestone (let's say, 5k, 10k, 25k) would give you a collectible. There could be even a special mount or something for people who collected all achievements of the patch. And since we get more points with every patch, other people would be able to eventually get them without 100% achievements.
More earnable stuff is always good. I'm not an achievement collector, but the majority of cosmetics come from crown store and it would be nice to have more ingame rewards. Even if they're just reskins or whatever.

    "Slacker"?

"Over achiever" would be good... you're rubbish, but you've been playing for so long you've managed to pick up a few points (that would be me).

I am not against the suggestion but I find the total achievement points to have just as little meaning as CP

A golden X-pointed star with 1-40, or whatever the highest number is in thousands (I can't keep up these days!).

So, if you got 38, like you said, it would show 38 within the star. Simple, but kinda cool. Would be in menu in the areas where your other things are toggled on/off. Placement? I'm not sure. Whatever works. Doesn't have to be large, either. I suppose there could be different colors for each 5K or whatever.

EDIT: Maybe have red star for EP, yellow star for AD, and blue for DC, for whatever faction toon it represents.
