That being said, I think the original idea in this post would be very interesting, with the damage type being dependent on type of weapon being wielded, such as Flame, Frost, and Shock being aligned with Destructions staves and Magic damage being the new default or something along those lines. The only concern I have with such a change would be removing it as a useful tool for BOTH Wardens and Sorcerers looking to use Elemental Catalyst as outside of Scalding Rune they only have access to Flame damage one other way and that way would already be taken in using Shock and Frost Destruction staves to achieve those elements on Wardens and Sorcerers respectively.
