Kahjiits need a makeover

Currently the kahjiit is lacking in cat-like appearanc.

1. New character model and the body types should resemble different species of cats. The skinny body type should be more of a cheetah build, the heroic should be more of a lion build, and the large should appear more like a jaguar build. All other cat body types will be in between.
2. Kahjiit should have paws for feet
3. Ability to customize the tail to change its length, shape, fluff, and coloring
4. Ability to completey change the shape and size of the ears. Some cat species have very huge pointy ears out there that are almost larger than its head.
5. More fur colors that are yellows, oranges, reds, rust colors, browns, and other colors that cats fur comes in
6. Have fur patterns be separated from the body markings that can also have the option to change the color. Also more fur pattern types as well.
7. Eyes should have the options of having more colors, Ability to make eyes even larger, changing eye shape, and having asymmetrical eye colors.
8. Face patterns should be spereate from facial markings that resemble markings of different species of cats and that the color can also be changed
9. Kahjiits should also have the abilities to use their long sharp claws to fight like an actual tiger when not having weapons equipped
10. Kahjiit should also make cat sounds when fighting
11. When sprinting a kahjiit should drop down on all fours and run like a cheetah
12. Kahjiit should have unique animations such as doggie pattle for swimming, sleeping all curled up with tail twitching, and falling then landing like a cat.

    Hate to burst your bubble, but most of that is not gonna happen. You are talking about creating whole new skeletons and rigging for a single race and applying it to every single khajiit in the game, as well as being able to dynamically change shape in character creation, requiring even more skeletons and rigging.

    I haven't even touched on what that would entail for having to redesign every single set to fit.

    The only things that are really easy to do here are fur/eye/face colors, fighting with claws, cat sounds and maybe the laying down animation.

    Agreed, and at the same time ZOS could release new races. I would prefer more non-human like races: Lamia, dreugh, dwemer, xivkyn, etc.

    Khajiit are khajiit not cats. We also play as Cathay furstock in ESO and they have plantigrade legs and more feet-like paws.

    Also, all races could go with some updated textures and more customisation options. Like Argonians needs some work where they tails attaches to their bodies and have proper heads and necks. A lot of their facial animations are even the same as the others' despite having such different faces. Which looks just bizarre.

    Lot of races could use work on their shoulders and necks as well. Go max muscle and the heads look tiny XD

    i'd be content if we could make them as large as them big ol body guard types in Elswyer OR as small as that annoying little bugger Za'ji.

    That's nothing what the Khajiit are in the Elder Scrolls universe. However, you may get some of what you want from the Beast personality from March of Sacrifices.

    Except for some markings and some skins, the tails could perhaps be upgraded slightly with the least amount of effort I think. They always did look like a pool noodle to me, and it becomes very apparent at times how little polygons their heads and tails actually have. I'm certain this was for performance reasons back when they were developing the game on an the Hero engine (though they supposedly modified it for their final product).

    I do still find it weird they never gave players those tail accessories for Khajiit and Argonians that had shown up on a dev build many, many years ago though. They've even used them on existing NPCs in Tamriel.

    1. That'd mess up everyone's current characters.
    2. They do have paws really. If you sit down where you can see the bottoms of their feet they have beans.
    3. I often wish we got better tail customization.
    4. More ears would be great but there's also a limit... a lot of hats/helmets have just little pockets for the ears to go into.
    5. It would be nice if all races got more swatches.
    6. Eyes already get so large the eyelids clip, it's annoying. Asymmetrical eye colors would be great if ZOS gave us an eye section in the collections menu.
    7. Having 2 body marking spots could be nice for everyone. I do think more patterns would be nice, we already can get more as body markings so why not even more?
    8. There are already markings for different species.
    9. They can in Skyrim. It's just not likely to happen in ESO since it is an MMO. There's no Unarmed in ESO.
    10. Khajiit make Khajiit sounds. None of them meow or yowl, not even Alfiq.
    11. Khajiit do not do that. If you do want to do that, you can get the beast personality from MoS challenger.
    12. Khajiit can swim fine. If you want to doggie paddle, be a werewolf. Khajiit are just people who happen to look cat-like. They are no different than a Nord or an Altmer or an Imperial or any other playable race.

    Thing is.... I've been through a "character remodel" - years back in WoW.That was the final straw in my over-time unhappiness with that game. My characters didn't look right. I hated the "fix" (didn't need to be a "fix"....)

    I left that game and never went back, never will.

    So if this game does that, and the result is the same disconnect with my girls not looking like my girls.... I'll be dropping 3 annual subs like a hot potato.

    Do not mess with my characters, their looks, their animations. I can deal with class crap, gear etc - but i cannot and am not going to deal with making my charcaters look like "someone elses".

    Animator here! It's likely that ZoS has an addon tool for their animation software that automatically makes a skeleton. It's normal for the industry to have a tool like that, and then tweak values as necessary to make it more interesting. Most of what you see has to do with the model and not the skeleton, so it would require a lot of modeling and not a ton of rigging...

    ...Which is arguably a longer and more difficult process. The animations as well, but this system reuses animation on similar models. However that said. For races in ESO, all of them seem to use the same rig, just scaled up and down based on the race and their traits, like broad shoulders for Nords and Orcs as an example. There's skinning and weight painting involved in the rigging process, but that probably doesn't matter much in eso, since you can dynamically change sliders and the like. There are systems involved there, so they can add more options to models in-game. Obviously this takes time and effort when it comes to modeling. Which again, is more time-intensive than rigging in this instance.
