crit damage in pvp needs a rework. unerf inpen

So many kitty cats are hitting players for 17-22k with merc even when you are full inpen. They nerfed inpen a long while ago but now being able to stack crit damage so high there isnt much counter play if a nb does their combos right. I think they need to either adjust crit damage in pvp or unnerf inpen myself but would like to have other players input

- Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

It's a high health low resource meta. Not everyone likes to play with two regen sets. Some of us are non nightblades who build two damage set plus damage mundus. I like being able to kill things quickly, I feel it rewards me with high damage for being a squishtard.
Please don't ask for nightblade nerfs...zeni will read that and do flat nerfs to everyone3 -
DrNukenstein✭✭✭✭✭Agreed. A full set of impen is an investment and decision (a responsible one too) and should award up to 20% crit resist. There is so much more crit damage available today, and players who choose to respect that should be rewarded.1

✭✭✭✭✭Critical Resistance is definitely underpowered these days, like DrNukenstein mentions above, given how easy it is to source Critical Damage mods (which, to be clear, is what I also do when I play damage in Cyrodiil).
ZOS should consider a few easy tweaks:
1. Buff Impen back to something respectable (~20%)
2. Add a Critical Resistance Mundus to counter the Shadow Mundus (hybridize the Warrior/Apprentice and use the vacated second Mundus for this)
3. Buff Sturdy Horn duration to something that is actually useful because 10 seconds certainly ain't it given the high cost of the ultimate. Something like 30 seconds would be more appropriate.
4. Add more sets that have Critical Resistance as a 2-4 piece stat. ZOS started doing this a few years ago but they seem to have stopped. Can we get a monster set with Critical Resistance as a 1-piece bonus? How about a 3-piece set?Edited by YandereGirlfriend on May 4, 2023 6:28PM1 -

Big agree on crit resist mundus. If a full divines set gave=crit resist to full impen it would be balanced, and an easy way for the uninitiated to hang in PVP with just one stop to the pvp mundus stone.
All pvp sets should have a line of crit resist. I would call that "new pvp content". Old pvp sets should be reworked to have a line of crit resist. It should replace lines of mag or stam to reduce spec bias in these sets too.1 -

Tanks used to be a rare sight in PVP, whereas balanced damage dealers were the majority. When sets like Fury, 7th Legion, and weapon damage sets were the norm, mixed with an armor + regen set or health set like Bone Pirate. Now it feels like you have to choose a side, either a tank or a high burst, kill as many as I can before I die DD, or bomber, or ganker. I don't understand the allure of playing with a 50-60K health fire hydrant, but I guess others do. I don't think resetting Impen will make things betterEdited by El_Borracho on May 9, 2023 3:48PM0 -
