Hello. I only have a Chromebook right now. Sometimes in the evenings I play I play on geforce now some games that are on my steam. But I really want to play eso. In the near future, I'm unlikely to be able to buy a good gaming laptop. So...
My friend played eso
Some how on his android phone with a back bone type controller thing. He did some streaming thing. Sorry I’m very bad with technology I think he some how maybe streamed Xbox something to his phone and used it as a console not sure if that’s still possible
Though.
Been using that for a couple of years now, I'm reasonably satisfied with it. Downside is though that when you have some sort of issue it's another layer of possible culprits. And it's 30 euro a month.

This article refers to software called CrossOver that lets you run many games and other Windows programs on a Mac or Linux computer, including Chromebooks:
Now I'm running the game with shadow pc. It's not very good, as it requires more internet speed than gforce now, but I sometimes play ToT and can take daily rewards.
What sort of specs your chrome box has might make the difference. A new i5 or i7 chrombook could be snappy enough... you got enough links to chew on. I hope you succeed! Come back and tell us of your Linux exploits!
if all else fail, you could always pick up a usd small form factor pc. 7th gen i7's can be had for 200 or less (ebay) and usu have an nvme slot. 500gb nvme can be had (gen 3 to match the mb) for 40$ or less... use rx single slot graphic cards that will do ok at 1080p on your tv can be had for less than 40$ though the top of the line nvidia 1650 low profile dual slot card will set you back 200$ or more depending.
Again though i hope you are successful with the chromebook. That would be awesome!
