Crafters, am I doing this right?

I'm desperately trying to get the lead for the sea serpent coil from jewelry surveys.

However... After 30 daily writs I have not received a single survey which leads me to believe I must be doing something wrong.

So I go to the wooden board and pick up a jewelry writ..

I then go and craft the 3 pewter rings or necklaces in no trait like it asks..

I then take it to the wooden box to claim my rewards which are always some shipping container and random bits.

Am I missing something or doing something wrong? Please say I am because if this is just bad luck I must be cursed!

i was just reading that there is about a 12% chance of getting a survey from a jewellery writ, so just keep going!

That's right. If it lets you turn in the writ at the container you've done it right.
When you open the reward box sometimes, instead of the shipping container you get a survey.

Surveys are RNG but not getting one in 30 tries is really bad luck. I think their drop rate is 1 in 6 or somewhere around there.
The level of writs doesn't affect the drop rate, so don't think you're doing anything wrong.

I do daily writs on 9 chars so thats 9 jewelry writs per day, 63 jewelry writs a week and I think I get about 2 jewelry surveys a week.

Do the jewlry writs on as many toons as possible. This will hopefully increase your odds of getting one. Even if your alt toons are only level 1 still do them.
