Yes, Motifs are still dropping normally

To all the people complaining that Motifs were not longer dropping since 1.06....I just got one over the weekend. The Nord Motif dropped for me in a trunk in Daggerfall Bank. So yes, if you are not getting Motifs, you are not looking hard enough. They're still here.

I am not even Motif Hunting specifically...I just check everything every time I enter a building. You just need to be persistent and patient.

To be fair, people can work very hard and just be hated by the pure timesink construct of RNG.

That being said, yes, they are still dropping since 1.06, I can verify that too! Not sure about 1.07, but I didn't see anything related to that in the patch notes.

If anything they might be dropping too frequently. I've gotten about 10 so far, several more than once. Rarer motif drops would make even mundane items have sellable value.

Lol you got one over the whole weekend. I used to get 1-4 per hour
and 1 is hardly a large sample size if you didnt even say how many containers you opened

I was never getting 1-4 an hour even before. If they have reduced it, then that is a good thing anyway. The only point I was trying to make was that yes, they are still dropping. Some people were complaining in a previous thread that motifs were no longer dropping as of 1.06.

If you can get 1-4 per hour, go for it. Good luck to you. That's an easy 2000gp/hour just from opening stuff. Don't know anyone else who is getting 4/hour.

1-4 per hour was with keep logging in and out in a location with many containers

and 2k per hour isnt much, I make more than that with questing or reselling stuff.

So basically, you got it by cheating, and with a method that has probably been patched already.

Well, I was not doing either. I got mine with casual searches. I am not that desperate for motifs I guess. Just wanted to confirm for the people who care that they can still get motifs if they do not already have them.

I still manage to get the normal motifs but i've yet to see any motif from V1 to V3 even though i was going through every building every time i went back to a city. Today i've even went out of my way to put the game in windowed mode and use logout to reset containers while watching videos on youtube, i've started this at 5pm and still doing it at 11:30pm and i still haven't seen any motif. There is no way anyone would open this many containers going through V1 to V5 without doing it and i still ended up screwed by the RNG.
It was stupid before because people farmed motifs, now it is stupid because you have to play a desk farming simulator to even get a motif for your own use. Funny how i wasn't farming motifs before but now it seems like i have to.

RNG, the reason we can't ever have nice things.
